me when I make the days of the week in my book lineup with the days I post irl B^)

Friday, was two days from now.

Jimin found himself stood in the bedroom of his apartment, positioned in front of his full length mirror to get a proper look at the outfit he was trying out. It was childish to be planning out his outfit for Jungkook's concert so early in advance, and he knew that. He also knew himself, and he was going to obsess over it anyway, so he might as well get it over with sooner now than later.

He had rotated through almost every item in his closet already, a mountain of crumpled clothes on his bed being evidence of it. And yet somehow, after all of that effort, he found himself looking at himself wearing the first outfit that he had tried on.

Black jeans that were ripped at the knee, a white t-shirt, and his favourite jean jacket. It was covered in patches, some homemade and some bought, and he had it since he was in high school. It was a pretty basic outfit, but the event he was going to wasn't exactly a fancy establishment, so it was reasonable.

Jimin ruffled up his black hair, before walking away from the mirror and to the desk that sat adjacent from his bed. He grabbed a couple of silver necklaces that he owned, clasping each of the chains around his neck as he walked back over to the mirror. He was satisfied, a small smile tugging at his lips as he turned from side to side to observed every angle of the outfit.

Not like it mattered anyway though, it wasn't like he was trying to impress Jungkook, was he?

The moment that thought popped into his head, Jimin could help but shake his head and laugh.

"Don't lie to yourself Jimin." He told his reflection, smoothing down the fabric of his tshirt. "Yes, you are."

He was one hundred percent trying to impress Jungkook. The blue haired male had told him specifically that he wanted to see him in the crowd, so Jimin wanted to give him something nice to look at, at least.

Jimin wasn't even sure what he was hoping to come out of this situation with. A one night stand? A simple hang out between two strangers? He knew that Jungkook was probably going to ask him to hang out after the gig, but god knows where that might lead.

All he knew, is that he wanted this to go somewhere. Jungkook had been taking up far too much space in his brain for this to all be for nothing.

A knock at his front door snapped him out of his thoughts, and he took a second to breathe out a deep breath and shake his head out before turning around to walk over to his front door. It was probably Namjoon, or Taehyung, because any other visitors that weren't those two were uncommon to Jimin.

He ran a hand through his hair, then unlocked his front door and opened it. As he had suspected, he found Taehyung standing at his front doorstep with his guitar case slung onto his back.

"Woah, what are you all dressed up for?" Taehyung laughed, scanning his eyes across the outfit his friend was wearing. Taehyung himself was donning a pair of sweatpants and a baggy black hoodie, so in comparison, Jimin definitely looked dressed up.

"Nothing." Jimin dismissed, opening the door further and stepping to the side so that Taehyung could walk in. "I was just going through my closet."

Taehyung raised an eyebrow, setting down his guitar case on the ground next to the TV in Jimin's living room. The hands that stuck out of his hoodie were covered in pen scribbles and haphazard lyrics, making it clear that the other male had been working on music up until he had come over.

"I don't believe that." Taehyung answered bluntly, picking up Jimin's TV remote and throwing himself onto the couch. "So, you can either tell me who you're dressing up for, or I can figure it out later."

Jimin scoffed, shrugging his jean jacket off of his shoulders and laying in on the back of the couch.

"Why did the question suddenly swap from 'what' to 'who'?" He laughed, taking a seat next to Taehyung and shoving the other male's shoulder lightly. "And why can you just take my word for things?"

Taehyung laughed, a cheeky grin spreading across his face.

"Because you don't tell the truth!" He answered, before resting his head on his hand. "I don't know if you think I'm gonna meddle, or make fun of you, but I'm not." He still kept the same cheerful tone, but Jimin could tell that his words were much more sincere. "I just want to know what's going on in my bandmate's life! If you write a breakup song I want to at least know who it's about."

Jimin let out a heavy sigh, looking over to meet Taehyung's gaze. He had always had an issue with opening up to people, even the ones that he held closest, but maybe Taehyung was right.

It wasn't exactly fun, to be dealing with all of these thoughts on his own. Maybe some advice would work.

"Jungkook invited me to his show on Friday." Jimin finally sighed, Taehyung's eyes widening at his confession.

"I knew it." The other male laughed, running a hand through the strands of hair atop his head. "The hot drummer from your work? How did this happen?" Jimin couldn't help but turn a bit red at Taehyung referring to Jungkook as the 'hot drummer' but it wasn't exactly a lie.

"After you left my work a few nights ago I decided to go talk to him." Jimin answered, picking at the tips in his jeans. "I don't know why... I just felt like I'd spent too much time just watching from afar. I needed to give it a shot, you know?"

Taehyung nodded, a grin spreading across his face before he leaned to the side to pat Jimin on the back a couple times.

"You've got balls, I respect it." Taehyung laughed, and his grin only widened when he saw Jimin roll his eyes at his response. "Really though, how'd that turn into you basically getting asked out? I didn't think you were that charming."

Jimin scoffed, punching Taehyung in the arm lightly and making his friend burst out into a fit of giggles.

"Number one, I am that charming. Thank you very much." He waited for Taehyung's laughter to die down before he continued. "And I didn't get his number or anything that night, so I was kind of lost as to how to escalate it." Taehyung nodded, motioning for him to go on. "Tzuyu gave me the event poster I showed you, and told me to sign up because Jungkook's band probably would too and... you know."

Taehyung scoffed, narrowing his eyes playfully at his friend.

"And here I was, thinking you were doing it for the good of the band." He laughed. "But no, it was all for some dick."

Jimin blushed a deep red and he turned his face away, shielding himself from Taehyung's gaze.

"No, that was just an added benefit." He answered softly, waiting for his face to cool down. "Anyway, when I went to the bar to sign us up, Jungkook just so happened to be there to sign his band up. Next thing I know, I'm being invited to his show."

"I guess you are that charming." Taehyung hummed, a sly smile on his lips. He kicked his feet up on the table in front of the couch, leaning more comfortably into the cushions and placing his hands behind his head. "There's not much advice to give really, Jimin. The guy definitely has the hots for you. He gave you his drumsticks and now he's inviting you to his gig. He likes you."

Jimin couldn't hold back the smile that tugged at the corners of his lips, bringing his hand up to try and hide it from Taehyung. "I say, be yourself and have fun. But also, try not to get attached. Guys in bands usually don't make good boyfriends."

Jimin nodded, letting out a soft sigh and resting his hand on his chin.

"Yeah, I know."
