helloooo everyone!!

"Woah, Min, are you doing okay?"

Jimin was not, in fact, doing okay.

Ever since what happened between him and Jungkook he just couldn't find it in himself to talk to the younger male.

It wasn't like Jungkook was making it hard to, either, the blue haired male had sent him multiple texts and voicemails that all went unreplied to. 'I'm sorry." "Jimin, if you just gave me a chance to explain.." "You're the only one I want, you know that."

Easily, he could accept the apologies, gloss over the uncertainties, and crawl back into Jungkook's bed again. He just couldn't bring himself to though. It felt as if somebody had taken off his rose tinted glasses, and now suddenly Jungkook seemed much duller.

Maybe things had been going too well, though. Jungkook was just too mesmerizing to be held by Jimin exclusively. Maybe it was almost selfish to ask him to do so. He probably should have expected something like this to happen, because Jungkook was doing all the right things. Maybe this was all just a game he had a lot of practice with.

Too many things were a 'maybe', nothing was easy to decipher when it came to Jungkook.

Most of all though, he just couldn't get his mind to stop questioning the younger male. How could he know which words were truth and which were ones just meant to please him? Finding the difference was incredibly hard, and so Jimin chose to not talk to him at all.

"Do I look it?" Jimin was sat at the bar of his work, a half finished vodka spritzer next to him along with his notebook in front of him. The page he had opened was completely filled - even the margins - and yet he was still crossing out words and replacing them with more fitting ones.

Namjoon, who knew that Jimin's shift ended over an hour ago but hadn't heard from him, chose to pay his friend a visit at work to make sure everything was still in order. Obviously, from the looks of the scene displayed before him, this was the right idea.

"No, I'm honestly not really sure why I even asked." Namjoon chuckled, letting out a soft sigh before pulling out the barstool next to Jimin. He observed the page his friend was writing on, the words all looking rushed and messy as they were scrawled across the page. "It's about Jungkook, isn't it?"

Jimin breathed out a deep exhale, looking to the side and meeting Namjoon's gaze. He didn't even really need to say anything after that, because all of the emotions in his eyes told the whole story.

"Why wouldn't it be?" Jimin answered softly, reaching over to pick up his glass and take a swig of his third drink of the night. "I knew from the first words he spoke to me, that I shouldn't get involved with him. He's not what I need, but I think I tricked myself into thinking he is."

He swirled his glass around, the ice cubes in his drink clinking around. Namjoon didn't reply, waiting for Jimin to get everything he needed to off of his chest before he did so. "I knew he wasn't relationship material, but I wanted to believe that he'd change for me, you know?" Jimin looked down at his notebook. "He wanted me to believe that too."

Namjoon raised an eyebrow, leaning on his elbow.

"What did he do, Jimin?" He asked, blowing a few brunette strands of hair out of his eyes. "You catch him with someone else?"

Jimin shook his head, feeling grateful that he didn't get it that bad.

"It's hard to explain... but some girl called him while I was over at his house. She had a bunch of hearts and stuff in her contact name. This was right after telling me I was the first person to get his phone number." He watched as Namjoon raised an eyebrow, not looking too impressed. "It might not sound that bad, but the look on his face was all I needed to know it wasn't just a friend calling him."
