Jungkook realized that he had never actually been in Jimin's house before.

Jimin had been to his a few times, that part was obvious, but it felt so different to be welcomed into Jimin's own personal space. The shorter male flicked his lights on as Jungkook walked through the door, yawning quietly before leaning down to untie his boots.

Jimin's apartment could best be described as cozy. Framed photos and hanging potted plants decorated the walls, the warm toned curtains by his window pulled back to reveal the view of the Busan skyline. Two guitars, one electric and one acoustic, leaned against a bookshelf that was piled high with literature and magazines with an unplugged amp not too far away from them. A soft black rug created a barrier between them and the hardwood flooring, with a matching couch that had a few blankets and pillows sprawled across it.

He didn't even realized had stood wordlessly for so long, just observing how Jimin lived, before the shorter male was nudging his side.

"You can take your shoes off, y'know." Jimin chuckled softly, catching Jungkook's gaze for just a moment before he was disappearing into the kitchen.

Jungkook nodded, quickly following Jimin's directions and leaning down to untie his sneakers. He felt so nervous to be here. Maybe it was because it was a new environment, maybe it was because he still wasn't exactly sure what Jimin was thinking about him, but one thing that was for sure was that his body was buzzing with anxiety. He had already said everything he felt there was needed to be said, and so why had Jimin invited him here?

Jungkook wouldn't lie, he was half hoping that Jimin wouldn't just bid him goodbye at his doorstep and send him home (that was like, half the reason he had showered and changed clothes), but he didn't actually think it would happen given the reserved attitude Jimin had been sporting for most of their interactions that night.

"You want something to drink?" Jimin called, Jungkook following the sound of his voice into the kitchen where he found Jimin looking through his refrigerator. "It's nearly five am, so I don't know if you want alcohol, but I've also got soda, or tea, or coffee." He paused. "Though I'm definitely not as good at making it as you are."

Jungkook chuckled softly, leaning against Jimin's kitchen counter.

"Just a water works, if you have it." He smiled, watching as Jimin raised an eyebrow.

"Boring." The shorter male teased, before leaning up on his toes to grab a glass from his top cabinet.

It honestly didn't even feel like it was so early in the morning as he stood there with Jimin, despite the fact that he didn't really sleep well the night before either. He was just so ecstatic to be in Jimin's presence, that it seemed as if his body was pushing his tiredness to the sidelines for the time being. The sound of ice cubes clinking in a glass brought Jungkook back to his senses and he graciously accepted the cold glass that Jimin extended towards him.

They were both silent for a moment, Jungkook sipping his drink as Jimin poured a few spoonfuls of grinds into his coffee maker to make a cup of coffee for himself.

He could tell that the gears in Jimin's head were turning. The black haired male nibbled at his bottom lip, fingers fidgeting with the hem of his white t-shirt as he waited for his drink to brew. You could cut the tension with a knife, the air thick when Jungkook took in a shaky breath as he waited for Jimin to inevitable say something.

He just wished he could predict what the words would be.

"Why do you think I brought you here?" Jimin finally asked, the sound of coffee dripping filling the silence between his carefully spoken words. He looked up, and Jungkook gulped, unable to read the emotion on his face as the shorter male waited for an answer.
