I groaned as the bright sunlight hit my face. It was too early in the morning to train four mermaids to kick some serious monster butt. Putting aside the protests my brain threw at me, I pulled off my covers and got out of bed.

"No Rikki, you want to skillfully take down the dummy, not go lunging at it."
"Cleo, stop being so nice to Percy, it's okay to take him down, that's the whole point."
"Bella, good job with the archery, just...turn the bow around, you're holding it the wrong way."
So far, Emma had progressed the most in training. She had logical thinking down already and made great tactics for a beginner, she didn't need much help, the other girls, though, were a whole different story. I felt bad for being harsh on them but they kind of sucked. And we were setting off on our quest in a week. This was going to be difficult, I knew that.
