Those Girls Have Tails!

"Be safe, don't go home with strangers, BE SAFE!" My mom yelled as me and Annabeth headed out to go sightseeing.

She surprisingly trusted us to go check out that cool island while she and Paul could go to some other places.

"Percy, are you sure you want to this?" Asked Annabeth, as we climbed into the volcano of the island. She was grasping my hand tightly.

I detected water in the volcano, and as we were walking along, we slipped into a hole, Annabeth on top of me, into the volcano. I was right, there was a small pool of dark blue calm looking water that joined with a larger body of water that I was guessing was the beach I'd seen earlier.

While Annabeth was turned around admiring the structure of the place, I grabbed her waist and jumped into tue water holding her. She screamed and tried to get out but I pulled her back in. We didn't have to go up for air because I could breathe underwater and give people around me that ability.

"I'll get you back Seaweed Brain!" She yelled. "Oh yeah, catch if you can Wise Girl." I replied, and with that we swam after each other each of us trying to playfully attack the other.

We finally got out of the pool when I successfully caught Annabeth and carried her out of the water. She had to dry herself but I didn't have to, I came out completely dry, another perk to being a son of Poseidon. :)

We ate our lunch that my mom packed us, which was hamburgers, and I was about to tell Annabeth she looked pretty when she was wet when we heard 4 girls approaching us.

They were apparently racing each other here judging by the giggles and competitive remarks.

They came up so that we could see their faces but I don't think they noticed us because they kept chatting. I looked more closely and saw that they had orange bikini tops made of a strange material and matching skirts. Wait... not skirts, they were TAILS!
