EverShall: Mute but Cute

Chapter 19

"Idiot he's mute!" Everest quickly smacked herself on the face for how dumb the thought was.

"But I do want to talk to him... Argh... I wish that day never happened. It's my fault for asking him out on a movie date." Everest quickly caught herself. "That... Was a date right? Oh my- I didn't even mention it being a date did I!"

While dreading her smol brain moment, she's also dreading the fact that she has so much to do in terms of school works tommorow.

"I can't get a frickin break!" She sighed. Looking around the room, a painting on the side of an ocean sunset caught her attention. Staring at it for a while, she got up and grabbed her jacket before going out.

A few minutes later she arrived at the beach. Breathing in a quick fresh ocean air, she smiled as she felt refreshed. Taking off he white sneaker and socks, we Carried them on one hand as she let her feet dig deep on the surface of the fine beach sand as she started walking alongside the sea shore. It always calms her going here. Sometimes it's her mom that convinces her to be here. It's a nice spot even know she prefers the freezing cold of the mountains. Although this is the first time she came here at night and it's actually cooler here so she enjoyed it very much.

While staring at the clear starry sky her mind wandered about. The moon lighting one side of her with a light touch, and with her smooth white skin and without her cap which she forgot to bring to hide her lustrous lavander hair, which had actually grown quite a bit, gently flowing with the ocean breeze occasionally passing by her face. She looked quite serene in an outsiders point of view, and had a sense of ethereal feel on her as her her silhouette slowly walked step by step along the glimmering water.

"I wonder what he's doing right now?" She thought to herself. "It's nearly 8:00pm so he should be asleep right? I hope he has a good dream. Although what kind of dream would he be dreaming of? Maybe a girl he likes?"  She ended that train of thought afraid to ruin her mood.

Looking around once more on the beach though, she saw what seemed to be a figure of a man on the sand. His hand behind his back.

"Hm? Is someone else here? That's a surprise. They seem to be... Sleeping?" After considering it, she walked quietly towards the man. The man had his head turned the other way so she couldn't see his face clearly. It didn't help that she didn't notice a big cloud had blocked the moon so it's relatively darker now than earlier.

Looking around she could spot a juice box beside him, it looked empty.

"Who drinks cold juice at this time and place? Don't tell me he got drunk from apple juice? " She murmured to herself. She didn't recognize the man since she's also having trouble seeing in the dark now. She tried to clumsily walk over him to the other side to take a closer look at him. Meanwhile, the big cloud that had covered the moon earlier now already passed.

As she leaned close, the light of the moon gradually shone on them, lighting the shore lines and exposing the face of the man.

Everest's eyes widened. "Marahall??!" She jump back in surprise. However her hand slipped from the sand and she leaned off balanced before falling face first on Marshall's chest. Marshall who was unaware of the situation was startled by the sudden movement and woke up.

While he sensed around to make sense of the situation his eyes quickly landed on a girl, on his chest

He quickly came back to his senses and observed the situation. A girl, lay on top of him, with their faces almost touching with how close they are to each other, and top it all, this pretty girl was his girl best friend/ crush!
