"What am I going to do with you?" Thorne snapped. "Vandalism? Do you know how much it cost to replace that machine? Sinking back into your old ways will do you no good."
"It was in my way."
"The vending machine?"
Tristan grunts. Thorne eyes him. Noting his small burst of anger. There was another reason why Tristan hit that machine. Something that's caused him to forget everything for a minute. The inability to read his mind in times like these was a tad stressful. It had to be something major for him to lose his control like that. Before they left he did everything he could to resist but failed. Now it seemed as though he did not break a sweat. Even now his alpha voice could not deter his current defiant state.
"Plead your case then."
"Release me."
That was surprising. Thorne narrowed his eyes looking for any hint or clue on his face. "It's clear you can't control yourself. Why should I?"
"I can't do it. I can't be with Chloe. You have to stop this."
There it was. He sighs. "It is not a punishment Tristan. It is for your own good. You now have a future..."
"No!" He snapped. "Not with Chloe. It's nothing but torture."
"You won't always feel that way."
"Are you listening to me? It has to end now. I can't be with Chloe anymore."
"Why not?"
"She's alive."
Thorne shakes his head. "You need to get going."
"Don't do this to me. Chloe..."
Thorne raises his hand to silence him. "I understand that you want to be with her. Right now you have to listen to me and it can wait."
"I can't."
Tristan glares at him. His will to defy was growing stronger. He did have power beyond all werewolf boundaries. For his safety, things had to be done this way. All this had to be done to protect him.
"I have work to do."

"You think you're all that don't you?"
Tabbia looked around until her eyes landed on the person who just spoke. A guy she had never seen before stood there glowering at her. His smug appearance must have been meant to intimidate her.
"You talking to me?"
"Stay away from Tristan. My sister can be blind and naive all she wants but she's got me. So back off."
Was this guy serious? The last time she saw Tristan was three weeks ago. She was beginning to wonder if he was avoiding her after she told him to stay away. Sending someone to scare her off was the opposite of what he said he would do. Must be this sister of his but who was she? More concerning who was this moron?
"What makes you think you can tell me what to do?"
He steps closer. "I can doll. You think I can't smell him all over you? Back off or I will make you regret it."
"You back off before I make you regret it."
He grabbed her by the throat pushing her against the lockers. "I'll kill you then, I'll kill him."
She smirked. It has been a long time since she was able to fight. So far only her mouth had been landing her in trouble. With her arms free she used one to chuck his chin and push him away. He stumbles back coughing. His eyes were wide at the fact that she struck him.
