--Come on, don't act like that. Yashiro smiled and continued stroking the little fish's head. -I'm already accustomed. After pampering the little fishes, she tied her hair in a ponytail with a red ribbon and asked, --How about we play with those pink creatures for a while?

The two fish looked at each other and nodded. Nene smiled and they began to play with the mokkes as if nothing had happened, the truth was that she felt strange, from the moment she went out and met that pair of boys she has been restless, full of mixed and unknown emotions, some nice and some not so much, she didn't know why, and after a long time thinking about it, she just gave up, just wanting to clear her mind a bit.

After a while playing catch with the mokkes, a portal began to blink incessantly, the girl realizing it, quickly went to the portal and sent Emerald Destiny to check, the little fish did not hesitate to go through.

Seconds later, a hand reached out and grabbed Yashiro's sleeve. "Having fun without me?" The voice through the door asked in a playful tone.

Nene laughed and took the hand, pulling it through the portal. —You always come when you want, do you know how long it's been since the last time? She said reproachfully. Emerald Destiny came back and approached her owner again, swimming in circles a couple of times, as if she was happy. A ghostly black orb floated towards them.

--Hey, it's been a while, hasn't it? Kakujoidai.

...

When Hanako came back, he found Kou, still at the entrance to the girls' bathroom.

Kou growled and grabbed the ghost by the collar of his uniform. --There was no need to push me, you know!

–Did you stay just to scold me for that?, boy you are petty.

–It hasn't even been 5 minutes since you did it, did you even do your job?

-What? No, I was there for quite a while, y'know, I diligently researched. Hanako took something out of his pockets. --Look, I even took notes. He showed him the notes he had previously written, Kou took the notes and reviewed them for a long time, then with a disappointed expression on his face he said.

--It's unreadeable.  He pointed to an oddly shaped doodle. --and there's a lot of meaningless scribbling.

Hanako exclaimed offended. --Do you even use your eyes? Clearly this is a fish!

--Well, it doesn't seem like it!

Hanako stared at Kou intently for a moment and Kou mimicked the action, after a few seconds they both started laughing.

--Kid, you have no eye for art. He said, still laughing and holding his stomach.

-You don't draw very well either, huh. Kou smiled a little as he said it, and in response Hanako smiled too. It was a sincere smile.

Hanako looked at the spot where he ussually played cards with the mokke. The sun was still high in the sky, the reddish rays of sunset filtering through the window. Even though he was inside that "boundary" for a long time, it seemed like it hadn't really been that long. It could only mean one thing, time passes faster inside Yashiro's domain.

The ghost leaned against the window and with a serious expression on his face he said. -Boy. We shouldn't interfere with yashiro from now on.

Kou eyes grew in surprise. -What do you mean by that?

-What I said. It seem like she really has no memories of living as a yashiro...similar to what happened to that kid, Mitsuba? Kou flinched. Hanako carefully watched his reaction and with a smile, he continued. -Well we should let her be, she looks...good.

-No... are you telling me to just leave her? Even though she's here? Kou asked, annoyance creeping into his voice. -I thought you cared about her. Hanako frowned.

-Watch what you say. His eyes darkened giving a feeling of intimidation. Kou flinched but continued to confront him.

-Are you just going to give up? After everything she did for you?

That was it.

Hanako grabbed Kou's chin abruptly and looked at him with empty eyes. -Yashiro died. The smile he had a few moments ago completely vanished. -Do you think it makes a difference now? what could we do for her anyway? What's the point of getting closer now that she's dead? I can only grant the wishes of those who are still alive and even then, I couldn't grant hers.

–We failed. We have no right to continue interfering. He let go of his face and turned his back.

-I...I made her a promise. Kou stood there staring at the ground unable to do anything but talk. -There must be something we can do...

-You can consider it fulfilled. No longer meddle in supernatural-related matters. He frowned as if he couldn't stand the exorcist's attitude.

-Senpai still-

Hanako interrupted. -Unless you can revive someone, there's nothing to do. Just drop it, get on with your life.

-No! She was waiting for you! Kou shouted, grabbing Hanako by his shoulders, his hands cluthing tightly. -Even when her body started to cool down while she was still alive, she kept waiting, are you going to say you don't care? That it was useless? Even if it turned out like this, I just hope she's alright! I'm not going to be so pretentious as to expect her to remember us or anything...I just...I want senpai to be safe. A voice full of frustration, his gaze was looking at the ground, completely pitiful.

Hanako sighed. -Boy...why are you being so stubborn? It really makes things difficult for me.

-I just can't pretend like it's nothing, I want her to be well and happy. Senpai deserves good things. He said, tears forming at the edge of his eyes.

Hanako was slightly disturbed when he saw the exorcist's face -Even if you say that.. I have no plans on getting involved again. He looked down for a second and then glared out the window, the sun was almost completely hidden, the moon was finally starting to peek out.

Ha. Really. What to do with you?

-...I have to at least make sure she's alright, right? He smiled a little.

-Hanako... The exorcist looked at the ghost with teary eyes, moved.

-Still, if you want me to cling to her as before, I'll have to dissapoint you. He said, a smirk on his mouth.

The heartwarming atmosphere of a few seconds ago completely vanished, leaving only a boy regretful of showing the slightest bit of seriousness towards that idiot.

-I never asked you for that. At this point, he no longer knew what to expect, his expression was that of a person completely exhausted.

Hanako pushed him outside the bathroom. -Well then, now go, or else that brother of yours is going to exorcise me for good this time if his little brother doesn't come home on time. He said and then slammed the door on the exorcist's face.
