Her throat went dry and her chest felt tigh as if there was something pressing it. The uncomfortable feeling on her chest as if it was hallow remained like phantom pain.

Suffocating and excruciating.

It was such a feeling.

The hand gripping the man's sleeve didn't seem like it would let go, her face that had turned white became wet due to the tears flowing down her cheeks.

-Are you ok?

A worried voice called.

No, she was not okay at all.

She wanted to say, but no voice came out as if there was something invisible stuck.

Her body shivered and her legs weakened as if they were a newborn's.

The world seemed to spin before her eyes.

She didn't fall as the man had catched her before losing her balance.

Her eyes became hazy and heavy, she could see the panicked face of the one supporting her and how he opened his mouth to say something,

' What is he saying? '

The voice sounded so distant, before she could understand what was going on, all sound came to a halt and everything turned black.

—-------------------------------------------------------

There was something warm and soft around her body, it felt so comfortable.

If it weren't for the throbbing pain of her head, she would have probably lay all day.

Nene opened her eyes with difficulty and light poured on her irises. On the right side of the bed, there was a bedside lamp emitting just the right amount of light to see. A recipient with water laid on the bedside.

She tossed around for a more comfortable position. Her body felt heavy so she could only Shok her head in the end.

A voice called her.

-You're awake. How are you feeling?

He was sitting beside her bending slightly. With a calm expression, he removed a long strand of hair from her forehead.

She blinked her eyes blankly.

The last thing she remembered was the worried expression in those purple eyes though, those same eyes looking at her now were calm.

When she tried to lift her body, an intense dizziness rushed.

-My head hurts… She uttered with a broken voice.

She was surprised that her voice sounded hoarse but it was nothing compared to the sharp pain that seemed to split her head in half.

Because she frowned due to the pain, the person beside her put something on her forehead.

It was refreshing.

-Is it better?

The wet cloth seemed to help her headache subside.

-Yeah… Thanks.

After her weak reply, the man seemed a bit relieved but soon unexpected words followed.

-I shouldn't have left you alone. He muttered as if to reproach himself.

It was not his fault that she ended up in this state.

Instead of him apologizing, she should be thanking him for taking care of her.

As she was about to speak, she stopped. Something felt off.
