At first, the only thing notable about her was her ankles, and the second would be that she is Amane's assistant.

He didn't really pay much attention to her, really. He just wondered why her brother had chosen her, so he sometimes watched her.

He noticed a few things.

she became a fool whenever she saw a pretty face, to the point that she would probably get scammed by it.

she was a bit of a coward, though sometimes she was brave enough to stand up and protect her friends, like that time she poured water on him, it was amazing.

She was too naive. Most of the time, she would empathize with the apparitions and treat them as friends, which what odd in itself. All supernaturals held some kind of malice, including him and his brother.

There must have been something special about her, that is what he thought since Amane seemed to care quite a bit about her, but there was nothing, she was just a normal girl.

She wasn't that interesting. There was no reason to keep watching.

That is, until he was summoned.

He was somewhat aware that she didn't have much time left, so he wasn't too surprised when he saw her wandering in that place, the unexpected thing was that she had summoned him.

She had already been granted a wish from his brother so, technically, he wasn't supposed to grant her another.

However, he decided to be a bit lenient with her, for his brother's sake.

After granting her wish, he became curious as to what she would do.

So he visited her boundary.

The moment he stepped on her limit, the environment turned aggressive, literally, it was as if the earth wanted to swallow him, out of nowhere, roots started to grow quickly around him, large enough to cover his whole body.

He stood still, not even trying to escape.

The roots bound him from his toes to his neck.

After that 'warm' welcome, he looked around the place, the surroadings were different from last time, it was completely empty except from the doors scattered around, it was clear though.

He then noticed the figure of someone.

It was her. She was staring blankly into space, not moving, not making any sounds, just lying there on her knees.

More than an apparition, she was more like a statue.

He didn't expect her to be like this.

He slid effortlessly out of reach of the roots, the next moment he was right next to her. The roots noticed the empty space where he should be, and  ran in his direction.

This time he blocked the root's advances with his bare hands. More roots rushed towards him.

He clicked his tongue.

Kokujoidai blocked the rest of the roots as they incessantly appeared one after another.

'The host seems to be helpless now, that's why the limit attacks anyone who enters'

If that was the problem, he just needed to take care of the host.

He knelt in front of her to check her condition.

Her eyes were blank. He couldn't feel anything from them. He reached out his hand to her cheek and caressed slightly as if trying to wake her up.

There was no response at all, she didn't even look at him or reacted.
