Elder! Age is just a number

Chapter 2

Edward looks at himself in the mirror. Will seethe elder be coming too? He thought to himself. Then smiled and headed downstairs. His whole pack house was busy. The arrangements were made in front of pack house. His head was smacked by his best friend, Ralf, who also was his gamma. "How's the birthday boy doing?" He asked with a silly smile and Edward put his arm around the shoulder. "Well I am thinking of my crush." Ralf eye him suspiciously. "And no, it's not that girl. I am talking about the~" he stopped midway just to tease Ralf. "You bastard! Tell me." Ralf tried to shook him a bit. 

They both were talking when they bumped into Sebastian, Edward's beta. He just bowed his head and moved out of their way. "Till when he will act like this." Ralf scoffed. "His whole family is like this." Edward said as he looked back at Sebastian. Jason, came from behind and hugged Ralf's leg. " Ralf, let's go and play." He said with a grin and nuzzles his face on his leg. "How many time I have told you to call me brother too." Ralf pouted but still picked him up. "I am going to find mom." Edward said and moved to where Bella was going cause she really was stuck with her parents. You can find her wherever Adam and Sarah are.

"Here is my child!" Sarah said as he hugged her tightly. His father was busy with his beta. And again, their beta's family never shared a warm bond with them as the other betas from other packs do. 

Michael, his father's beta looked at him and then left after a nod of his head.

"I don't know why you keep them around. We can just simply put some other capable beta to this position." Edward said but his dad just gave him a sad smile. "His hatred toward us is justified. You don't know about it. So keep your voice down. His son will be your beta. You gotta trust him." His father said as he put his arm around his shoulder. "Yeah! Whatever." He scoffed and put some candies in his pocket that he found in the bowl, that was placed on table near them. "These are for kids. Not for you." Bella scolded him. He looked at her. Then picked her up. "I am a kid too." He grinned as he bite her cheek. 

"Oowwwooo" she cried out and smacked his head. "I'll tell baba." She threatened and he ruffled her hair. "Ok sweetie." He put her down and now look at all the people that were gathering in front of pack house. "You'll be the alpha from now on. Hmmm?" Stefani, his childhood friend, asked and he looked at her, carefully examining her. "You lost your 2inches of height?" He asked and in return got s kick on his kneecap. He put his hand on his knee and whisper yelled. "It hurts. You know." Stefani gave him a smug look. "That's why I did that." 

Now all people were gathered and despite him being a ruthless alpha to outsiders, he still was the favorite child of pack. So there were a lot of gifts for him stacked on the side table. His father went on stage and after a welcoming speech he passed his, his beta's and his gamma's title to Edward, Sebastian and Ralf in order. Ralf and Edward smiled at each other while Sebastian gave them a side glance.

Oliver was getting ready for going into the pack event after such a long time. I guess it was when, alpha was injured? Or maybe before that.  He looked at himself in the mirror. With his gray panks and a white button down shirt he combed back his hair. He fixed his blonde hair that was originally in mullet haircut. He wore his glasses and picked up the packed gift from his cupboard. After locking the doors he put the keys in their usual hidden spot and gave a final glance to his home. He have checked the gas, lights, water and even windows. He went to his bike and started it. There was still some time before the party started. He drove the bike slowly and cautiously. As he was approaching the pack house he felt his heartbeat increasing. He parked his bike in the parking area and took in the surroundings. He was still scared to face them. "Elder!". The sound make him jump. "H-Ha-Harley!" He smiled at her. "Yes Elder! We were waiting for you. But the time of passing the title can't be delayed so they completed that ceremony." She informed him as she lead him to the gathering. "It's ok. I am just here to wish and drop the gift." He pointed at the gift but Harley just looked at him. "Michael was waiting for you. At least greet him." Now they were near the stage. "And Sebastian wanted to see his cute little uncle too." She smiled as she spotted Michael coming to them. "Look who we have here. Hmmm?" He hugged Oliver tightly and he returned the hug with equal intensity. "I am here to wish the alpha." Oliver mumbled as he looked at alpha who was coming to them. "Long time no see! Oliver." He smiled warmly but Oliver only nodded. "You'll be staying for tonight. Right?" He asked and Oliver just shook his head. "He is uncomfortable in your presence. It would be good to leave him here with us." Harley stated and Adam just clenched his jaw. Oliver looked around. "I'll go and greet some people." " Will you be ok? '' Harley asked him and he nodded.  Michael and Harley went to some other friends as Oliver make his way to the table where gifts were placed. He was about to put his when the clock rang 12:00. And the scent of wet wood entered his nose. He was stunned for a second but the sound of "MATE" from Edward make his legs tremble. The gift slipped out of his hands. Everyone was shocked at this pairing. Oliver, on the other hand, was so shocked and terrified that his legs gave out. He tries to hide himself under the tablecloth. As Edward was approaching him cautiously, his golden shining eyes were telling others that his wolf is on surface. He kneeled in front of a trembling Oliver. "MATE!" He called for him again. His voice was low and if Oliver was in his right mind, he could have found it sexier too. But right now he was shaking his head and was trying to fit underneath the table. And at further closeness, he fainted at that very spot. The party went on as Edward took Oliver to the guest room cause firstly, he respected his privacy and secondly, Michael would have killed him if he tried something funny. Oliver was trembling but found comfort in Edward's scent.

Edward was taking in the features of Elder. He has got a soft jawline, which goes well with his baby-like face. He may be 32, but he can be mistaken as a 23. His fists were still clenched. Edward sat next to him and blew on his face. "I told you! I knew it. The way my heart swayed at him. I knew he was our mate." Dane said as he and Edward were both on the surface. "Yeah Mr. Right. Edward smiled and went to open the door after hearing a knock. "Yes?" He looked at Sebastia. "Dad wants to talk to you." He told Edward. "I am busy right now." He said as he looked at him. "It's urgent." Sebastian insisted. "Well~" "reject him as your mate right now." These words from Michael were enough to make Edward growl at him. "Either you reject him or Oliver himself will reject you. I won't allow him to be a part of this messed up family again." Michael said but the word that caught Edward's attention was 'again?'....
