Ch. 33

Jimin pov

Namjoon: what exactly are we doing in the basement? Why can't we be in the living room?
Jimin: because y/n will hear us! She can't know anything!
Taehyung: dude.....she's asleep upstairs....
They all looked at me with bored faces.
Jimin: whatever! Let's just sit and talk please!

We all sat down on the couch and bean bag chairs. The whole basement is like a play room/ movie theater we set up. However, most of the time we stay upstairs to watch movies.

Yoongi: what's this about Jimin?
Jimin: I think it's time I take mine and y/n's relationship to the next level.
Jungkook: like what? I'm confused
Hoseok snaked him on the back of the head.
Jungkook: ouch hyung!
Taehyung: you wanna propose?!?!
Jimin: yeah, I'm ready for it

They gave me hugs and words of affirmation. It really helped since I'm so nervous about this.
Namjoon: you both deserve this Jimin. What can we do to help you?
Jimin: well, I was hoping I could do it during our next practice. Halsey could keep y/n busy while we set it up.
Jin: what are we setting up exactly?
I pulled out my phone and played the song I have been working on.
Jin: you've been think about this for awhile
Jimin: of course, I want it to be perfect
Yoongi: so what are we doing?

Jimin: I need help figuring out exactly what to say and if I should sing first or after the proposal.
Jungkook: definitely first, what if she says no?
Again, Hoseok smacked him upside the head.
Jungkook: I'm not a hitting bag!!
Hoseok: stop saying stupid things then kook!
Jimin: fine, I'll sing to her first then I'll do my speech and pop the question.

Namjoon: what are you going to say to her?
I slumped down in my chair still unable to think of the right words to say. She's the most special person I have in my life, yet I feel like I could completely mess this up.

Jimin: that's the problem, I have no idea
Yoongi: tell us how you feel about her and what she does to make you feel that way
Good, yoongi hyung is taking notes. He is always good with words.
Jimin: I'm completely in love with her and everyday I feel like it grows stronger. Just the little things she does, like how she looks at me. Since we were kids I knew she was the one.

Yoongi: alright, have a look at this.
He hands me a piece of paper with writing on it. He wrote down everything I said and wrote a small but meaningful speech on it. I wish I could have done that.
Jimin: it perfect, but shouldn't I be the one to write it?
Yoongi: it all came from you Jimin. I just put it together.

I'm not one to pass up an opportunity to have someone else write meaningful words for me. I'm terrible at putting feelings into words. I feel like that's why y/n and I end up sleeping together a lot. It's the best way I know how to express how much I love her. She doesn't complain about it either, which is a plus.

Hoseok: have you talked to Halsey about keeping y/n busy yet?
Jimin: I texted her and she said she would be more than happy to help me. I think she really likes y/n.
Namjoon: she does, and the fact that y/n agreed to sing with her is amazing.
Taehyung: she has an awesome voice, who wouldn't ask her to sing with them?!

Jimin: we've all tried but she still never has sang with us.
Jin: that's because we're all scared to make her mad at us. She's scary
Yoongi: Halsey isn't scared of her, that's the difference
They have a point. I've never wanted to push her to do something she didn't want to do. Halsey on the other hand, doesn't take no for an answer. To be honest, y/n was probably scared to make Halsey mad at her. Just like the rest of us.

Jimin: thank you guys, this means a lot.
I looked at yoongi debating on if I should hug him or not. I decided it was worth the risk.
Jimin: thank you hyung
Yoongi: you can stop now, I was doing it for y/n. We all know you suck at speeches
I gasped putting my hand over my heart, acting as if I was very offended.
Jimin: how could you say such a thing! I'm hurt
Yoongi: yeah yeah get over it
He said as he walked back up to the living room.

Jimin: at least he didn't slap me when I hugged him.
Jungkook: yeahhhh because getting slapped is soooo wonderful
He rolled his eyes and glared right at Hoseok. I mean he did hit him two times in the span of like five minutes.
Jimin: while you guys settle whatever that is, I'm going to check on y/n. See ya
I yelled running back up to the living room. She has to be awake by now.
