Ch.34

Today is the day! The day that Halsey and I are recording our song. It's been rough, for me mostly but I really got the hang of it. I found it to be fun and relaxing in some ways.

Halsey: I'll do the nursery rhyme and my part then you can do your stuff. Cool?
Y/n: sounds good
I listened from outside the recording room with the producer and she's amazing. The power she holds in her voice is incredible. I hope I can make mine sound like that.

She went on to record all of her parts of the song which took a few hours and then I'll do the same after. I've seen the guys do this but it's different when I'm the one doing it. I hope they like it too.

Producer: she's almost done in there. Are you ready?
Y/n: ready as I'll ever be
He gave me a thumbs up and went back to finishing up with Halsey.

Halsey: your turn
She said with a giggle. How can she change personality from the intensity of the song to being all giddy?
Y/n: we have parts to sing together right? Are we recording those today as well?
Producer: after you record your parts, come on
He beckoned me on to the sound booth. Here goes nothing. Halsey gave me a high five and a thumbs up for good luck.

It took me a little while to actually feel comfortable sing like this but I eventually loosened up. Something about being alone in a sound proof box is calming.

I feel like I'm doing very well and matching Halsey's tone and emotions perfectly. I finished up with a part and the producer turned on his microphone to talk to me.

Producer: I don't know what you're doing but whatever it is, keep doing it! You and Halsey are matching perfectly!
Y/n: I'll try my best!
I said back to him with a wide smile. I get complements on my singing all the time but getting compliments from a producer is amazing.
Ok well yoongi is a producer but you know what I'm trying to say.

After an hour of recording my parts I finished and now we both have to sing together. It's not that many part so hopefully it won't take that long.
Halsey: let's finish this
Her voice sounded like she was a wrestler ready to tackle someone. It made me chuckle a bit.

Y/n: finally we're done!!
Halsey: you did amazing, I can't wait to here it when the producer puts it all together.
Y/n: me too, getting that compliment from him made me feel like I actually did good.
She hugged me supper tight.
Halsey: that's because you did silly girl!!

Y/n: I should probably get back to Jimin, he can't sleep when I'm not with him.
I grabbed my bag and flung it over my shoulder.
Halsey: why? Didn't he go months without sleep with you?
Y/n: yes, buts since I've been with him and then the accident, he's been very clingy to me.
Not that I'm complaining about it. I love clingy Jimin, makes me feel wanted and happy inside.

Halsey: well that makes sense then. Have a safe drive home alright.
Y/n: thank you, you too
We waved at each other then went out separate ways. For now, I'm sure we will being seeing a lot more of each other now that we have a song coming out together.

When I got home the lights were off and the only noise was coming from the TV in the living room. Jungkook's laying on the couch fast asleep. That couch can't be very comfortable to sleep on. I went over to him and shook him awake.

Jungkook: noona? What's wrong?
Y/n: go up to bed, the couch isn't comfortable.
He nodded and lazily walked himself upstairs and into his room.

Once I turned the TV off I went upstairs to my own room. Jimin was laying the opposite way in the bed. His head is at the end of the bed where our feet are supposed to go. Crazy boy I have.

Not wanting to disturb him I took my shower and got changed into one of his shirts.
Y/n: Jimin hey
I shook him trying to wake him up. I wonder when he went to bed? It's only like 10pm.
Jimin: baby?
He opened his eyes and rubbed them with the back of his hands.

Y/n: lay the correct way so I can get into bed with you
He turned himself around and opened his arms for me. He's still half asleep but at least he'll fall asleep faster. I crawled into his arms and rest my head on his shoulder.

Y/n: goodnight my sleepyhead
Jimin: goodnight baby bear
