In the morning

KIE POV:

I got pretty wasted last night. But the three things I remember, was

1) I kissed JJ
2) the ways JJ looked at me after I kissed him
3) JJ telling me he wanted to do it again.

I actually have no clue how to feel about that. I can't tell if he's joking or being serious.

Like I was joking. I did it for the bit. It wasn't a real kiss. It was a 3 second peck.

I don't remember much of what happened after that tho. Me and JJ got pretty high so all I really remember was waking up in the guest bedroom in the chateau.

I had a pounding head ache when I woke.

I looked over to the nightstand and saw a glass of water with a bottle of Tylenol next to it.

I don't know who put it there but that was exactly what I needed.

I take the pills for my headache and then lay in bed for a little while longer.

Eventually, I get up and make my way to the kitchen.

When I get into the living room I see JJ passed out on the couch, laying on his stomach. His hair was all messy and his tank top was around his neck instead of on all the way.

I walk around the island in the kitchen and grab some yogurt out of the fridge.

I shut the fridge and grabbed a spoon out of the drawer when I noticed JJ, painfully, waking up.

"Ow" JJ says with his hand over his forehead

"How's that headache treatin y'a Jay?" I joke

"Shhhh Sh Sh Sh" JJ says in pain form the noise.

I laugh and walk to the guest room to grab the Tylenol and bring it back out to him

"Here" I say and toss it to him, landing on his stomach

"Huh,,, oh" JJ says as he looked down "thank you."

JJ chases the pills with an old beer bottle sitting next to him

"I- JJ" I say in shock "gross"

"Desperate times call for desperate measures Kie " he groans

I laugh and sit down at the bar eating my yogurt.

He slowly sits up and then stretches

"My everything hurts" he says with his head in his hands

"Same" I agree

"Welp I'm gonna go take a shower" he says

He stands up and starts laughing.

He then shuffles over to me with a cocky smile on his face

" I actually got you to kiss me last night" he laughs "nailed itttt" he chants and then CASUALLY HIGH FIVES ME and walks past

He HIGH FIVED ME.

LIKE WHAT?!?

After all that last night.

The "I really want to do that again" bullshit!

The blank, doe eyed stares and the acting weird all night was NOTHING.

God I've never felt more like just another number to someone in my life. But whatever

I mean. He was pretty drunk. So whatever I don't even care.

Just... it seemed like maybe it had meant something to him. But I guess not.

JJ POV

I managed to play that off so fucking good bro.

Realistically. That's all that I could think about.

I woke up thinking about. I fell asleep thinking about it.

Ever since it happened it's all I can think about

But Kie can NOT know that. I can't ruin our friendship like it did with her and pope no matter how bad I want her.

I mean It'd be easy to just shut the feelings off and go about normal. I always do that.

Even tho it was like the best few seconds of my life and I've NEVER felt so alive.

However I know it meant nothing to Kie obviously, that's why I can't get lost in the feelings and do something stupid.

Oh but god do I want to tho. Her lips... so soft. And her- AHHG mind stay focused. It wasn't that big of a deal tbh.

This might be harder than I thought.

I get out of the shower and try to get all my shower thoughts out of my head before I went back into the kitchen with Kie.

I get dressed and head out there.

When I get there I see John b and Sarah sitting with her at the barstool.

Okay. [Mission act natural]: I've got this.

"JJayyyyy my boy how y'a feelin" John b laughs while patting my back. I know he knows I wasn't acting uhh.. myself after that. So this is crucial.

"Myyyy boiiiii" I say dapping him up like we always do when we score with a girl.

Sarah and Kie laugh.

"You alright there buddy, you seemed a little uhh distracted there at the party man, anything on your mind." John b says sarcastically

" oh you know how it is man just workin on my bucket list" I say cocky and go to high five Kie again

Kie scoffs and rolls her eyes but as a joke not in a mad way

We all laugh and then start talking about some other things from the party.

Mission act natural: success.

KIE POV:

asshole.

I mean it's fine. I just, this wasn't what I was expecting. But I mean, it is jj. What did I expect

i swear to god if he high-fives me ONE more time tho.
