Chapter 21

Athena

Everyone was busy in restoring the pack. I had nothing to do and didn't bother to ask anyone if they needed help. They never considered me a part of their pack anyways. I had also met up with Cole previously and fortunately he was safe.

As I was walking towards my room, a thought of a certain person entered my mind

Rose

I hope she was okay and all of this didn't remind her of the trauma she went through.
I changed my direction towards her room to make sure she was all set.

Reaching her room, I knocked on the door. It took a good minute before the door finally opened and it revealed Rose with slightly red teary eyes from crying and a puffy face.

Not knowing what to do as I have never dealt with a situation as such, the only thing that came to my mind was to hug her as I have seen others do in similar scenarios when they want to console a person.

So I hugged her and patted her back.

Knowing that she had previously been attacked by the rouges and what ever happened today must have caused her to remember what she went through, I couldn't do much but comfort her. It might have reopened her wounds.

Now finally sitting all alone in my room, everything that happened today played in my mind. Since I was alone with my thoughts, it finally registered to me that something I have never thought could ever happen in a million years happened. Like honestly, what are the odds?

I acted so impulsively today, revealing my wolf. No-one knew I even had a wolf to begin with. I didn't even think of the consequences and acted irresponsibly. I should have taken all the 'what ifs?" into consideration because what if someone got to know about it? What if the rouges decided to find out about the mysterious wolf?

I would do everything in power to protect my wolf.

It was taking too long, where was this idiot?
I was finally close to my actual plan and I didn't want anyone ruining it.

The person I was waiting for finally entered through the door, heavily panting. I wonder what news he has brought for me.

"What do you have for me beta?"

"Something totally unexpected happened during the attack, a wolf came out of nowhere and saved the Alpha."

A wolf?

"What do you mean? Who was that wolf?"

"We have never seen that she-wolf before and I am pretty sure she is not from my pack. I have been in this pack since forever and I am certain that she is from a different pack."

A different pack? I wonder who this she-wolf is? Whoever she is, she has to go. I can't have her ruining my plans again.

"Find out who she is and bring every detail of her to me." I ordered him

He nodded his head and as he was about to exit the room, I stopped him

"Also tell Claire to stay put, I am pretty sure Adrian already knows the truth about Claire so there is no reason for her to be roaming around in the pack house."

He again nodded for the second time and left the room

Lets see who that she-wolf is.
