Chapter 18: The End

All kinds of sand creatures floated around them, dolphins, fish, dinosaurs, stingrays. Everyone looked around in awe. Jamie reached out to touch a sand fish, but was hit in the back with a snowball. He looked over and saw Jack smirking at him while (Y/n) nudged his arm.

Jamie laughed and picked up a snowball and threw it at Monty. Soon it was a free for all, and everyone was throwing snowballs.

North came up to Jack and (Y/n). "Your centers?"

"It took awhile, but we figured it out." Jack said, wrapping his arm around (Y/n)'s waist.

North smiled and tossed them both little Russian nesting dolls that looked like them.

"Awe, your so cute!" (Y/n) gushed at Jack's little wooden doll.

Jack laughed at how adorable she was, and kissed her forehead. North smiled at them, and was suddenly hit in the back of a head with a snowball. He turned to face the twins and they pointed at an elf.

North laughed and picked up a snowball. "Your all on Naughty List! Bunny, think fast!"

North threw the snowball and it hit Bunny right in the face. Everyone was laughing and having fun when Pitch came to.

He looked at the scene in front of him and became angry. "No. You dare have fun in my presence? I am the Boogeyman and you will fear me!" He rushed towards Jamie, but Jamie just ran right through him. "No!"

Pitch looked up at the Guardians who were all looking at him, and ran away. He ran all the way onto and icy pond where he ran right into North's gaunt belly.

"Leaving the party so soon?" He asked.

"You didn't even say goodbye." Tooth flipped a quarter at him.

"A quarter?" Pitch scoffed.

Tooth punched him right in the face knocking his tooth out. "And that for my fairies."

"You can't get rid of me! Not forever. There will always be fear." Pitch told them.

"So what? As long as one child believes, we will be here to fight fear." North responded.

"Really? Then what are they doing here?" Pitch gestured to the Nightmares that were surrounding them.

"They can't be my Nightmares. I'm not afraid." North laughed.

"Looks like it's your fear they smell." Jack said.

The Nightmares charged at Pitch and swirled around and picked him up dragging him back to his lair underneath the bed frame.

The moon shined brightly in the sky and (Y/n) let out a laugh and jumped into Jack's arms. Jack twirled her around and placed her back on the ground and gave her a kiss on the lips.

"Are you ready you two? To make it official?" North asked them.

The two nodded and a yeti handed North the book.

"Then is time you take Oath.

Jack looked at (Y/n) and took her hand in his. The two shared a smile and faced North.

"Will you, Jack Frost and Cupid, vow to watch over the children of the world, to guard them with your life, their hopes, their wishes, and their dreams, for they are all we have, all that we are, and all that we will ever be"

At this point, all the kids, elves, yetis, fairies, and giant stone eggs had gathered to witness the ceremony. Jack and (Y/n) turned to Jamie and he nodded at them.

"We will." They said.

"Then congratulations, Jack Frost and Cupid, for you two are now, and forevermore, Guardians." North announced.

Everyone cheered and North picked the two up and hugged them tightly. When they were back on the ground, Jack hugged (Y/n) to his side, and she wrapped her arms around his waist.

Rumbling could be heard above them, and North's sleigh and his reindeer landed on the ice pond.

"Everyone loves the sleigh." Bunny said.

Birth chuckled and turned to Jack and (Y/n). "Time to go." He whispered to them.

Sandy used his magic to create fireworks in the sky.

Bunny knelt down to Sophie and handed her an egg.

"Happy Easter, you little ankle biter. I'm gonna miss you."

"Bye-bye Bunny."

"You're leaving?" Jamie asked, walking towards Jack and (Y/n). "But what if Pitch comes back? What if we stop believing again? If I can't see you..."

"Woah, Woah, slow down Jamie." (Y/n) told him gently.

"Yeah. You're telling me you stop believing in the moon when the sun comes up?" Jack asked.

"No." Jamie answered.

"Okay. Well, do you stop believing in the sun when the clouds block it out?" (Y/n) asked.

"No."

"We'll always be there, Jamie. And now, we'll always be here." Jack pointed at Jamie's heart.

"Which, if you think about it, kind of makes you a Guardian too." (Y/n) told him.

Jack and (Y/n) joined hands and started to walk towards the sleigh.

"Jack! (Y/n)!" Jamie called out and rushed forward to hug them.

They hugged him back, and hopped onto the sleigh. As they rode away, the kids whooped and cheered and waved goodbye.

"My name, is Jack Frost. And I'm a Guardian. How do I know that? Because the moon told me so. So when they moon tells you something...believe it."
