Chapter 20
Rachels pov :
I stormed off quickly and ran into the girls bathroom . I walked in there and broke down crying by the sink . My heart was pounding and I could feel the pain of my cuts . It felt like a burning sensation of pain like a thousand needles being stabbed into my arm . I was so scared and everything went black. I woke up to a blurry light and a shadow looking over me, it was Ms.Pilsbury. "What happened I asked her . "You passed out on the bathroom floor. " She told me . "Oh where am I? " I asked her . "The nurses office. " she told me . I sat up and my head was pounding . "Be careful sweetie ." She said as I sat up slowly. I sat there for a moment and she handed me an ice pack , "for your eye. " she said . "Thanks. " I said. "Speaking of which what happened?" She asked me. "I rather not talk about here . " I said. "Okay well what about my office ?" She asked. "Okay. " I said . 30 minutes later we were in Ms.Pilsburys office and it was pure silence . "So Rachel care to tell me what happened ?" She asked. "I can't its to fresh in my mind . " I said. "Honey who did this?" She asked. "David Karofsky. " I said. "What? He hit you. " She said shocked. "Yeah he grabbed me on my way into school he took behind the quad and he started to yell I tried to scream but he hit me and then said that I was going to get what was coming to me . " I said. "Did he....." she could bareley say it , "No , I kicked him in his private area and ran before he could do anything . " I said. "And he gave you the black eye?" She asked. "Yeah." I said. "Has he ever hit you before?" She asked me. "No not until today, he just bullied me is all. " I said . She gave me a sympathetic look, "oh honey. " She said. She then rushed to me and gave me a hug . I could feel the pain burn my skin . I don't know why but I just had this feeling of hatred in my heart after everything I've been through I felt so numb , so dark .
