The rocking of the ship is bearable for those who are sailling on the Dawn Treader for monrhs, or like Theodora, Caspian and Reepicheep who were already a year into their long journey through the Narnian seas in search of the Seven Lords of Telmar. The first rays of daylight arrives slowly, with the nets attached to the masts on the underside of the ship, the sailors leisurely rouse.
Leaning against the stairs that lead to the stern of the ship, the Just King rubs the sword given to him by the king with long brown hair after the victory in the haven of the Felimate Island.
"How's it going Eddie?" The stunning woman in a flaming red coat asked. Queen Theodora brought two glasses filled with wine, in an attempt to prevent the king from getting dehydrated with the hours he spends cleaning the sword that her grandfather gave them.
The night-black haired young man dropped the knife and accepted the bevarage, taking a sip. Subsequently setting it down on top of a barrel, and raised the blade.
"It is going to be magnificent, Your Majesty!" The leader of the Talking Mice of Narnia bounded up to the two figures, stopping between them.
"Do they came in a smaller size?" The mouse chuckled, while Thea tried to contain her laughter. Edmund picked up the object in his hand, glancing at the animal.
Theodora stopped paying attention to the conversation between Edmund and Reepicheep when she heard laughter coming from the mast. The Queen looked at the firstmate minotaur on the Dawn Treader laughing at the weaklycousin of the Pevensies siblings. Eustace, as he was called, was hidden surrounded by barrels sitting against the ship's rail with a small notebook in his hand and apparently talking to a seagull?
"Everything all right child?" Thea walked over, waving her hand for the seagull to leave. "Do you need anything?" She murmured serenely, startling him. He hastilyput the notebook away making her laugh. "You can keep writing, don't worry. I'm not interested in what you write."
"You all look like lunatics. I'm perfectly fine!" He answered sullenly, she kept the small smile as she bent down.
"Are you sure they're not bothering you?" She looked at Tavros and the sailor, her brows lowered and knit together, as she stroked Eustace's arm.
He even tried to speak and say that he was hungry and wanted to go home as soon as possible, but the youngest's sullenness made him get up abruptly, leaving the Queen there.
Caspian, who was helping the sailors to trim the sails and assign duties, saw the cantankerous young man walk quickly away from his wife.
"What happened this time?" He helped her to her feet, holding her by the waist.
"I was just trying to help." Caspian and Edmund throw her a sad smile, knowing that the older woman was just trying to make Eustace feel included in their environment.
