After taking Mama Ris to her home she begged me to stay since nakakahiya naman daw na I already rushed going there 'di daw siya papayag na umuwi ako agad. Her exact words, "Ate Aiks wag ka nang umuwi muna please mag-aalala lang ako sayo." As if I was a child na lalayo sakanya sa mall.
I took a deep breath before getting out of bed. It wasn't my first time staying her honestly, lagi ata akong nandito after ng 2022 election kala nga nila Ianna at Issa dito na ko nakatira. This place became my home for the past year nasanay na ata saakin ang mga kapatid ko, I had found a different safe space other than our house. Nagluto ako ng breakfast hindi nga lang ako sure kung may kasama ba si Mama Ris dito kaya nagluto nalang ako ng sobra para sa tatlo. Pagkatapos ko bigla nalang akong napatunganga, ano nang gagawin ko?
"Ate Aiks?" I heard a voice call me.
"hi bunso! good morning tara kain."
"hi.. ano pong ginagawa niyo dito? kelan ka po dumating?"
"Uhmm.. kaninang madaling araw. Mama Ris invited me to come over. Sakto naman na reat day ko so ayun nandito ako ngayon."
"Mama invited you at midnight?"
"No, kagabi pa mga 9 or 10 pm she texted me. Eh I was doing some paperworks na noon, but I promised I'd come ayun nga lang late."
Sinta eventually stopped asking kasi humihikab pa ata siya noong bumaba, I continued putting on plates and the food I had cooked before I felt her wrapped her arms around my waist.
"Nanlalambing ka or nilalamig ka?"
"Missed you ate ko"
"Namiss rin kita bunso... Ang tangkad-tangkad mo na baby ka pa rin."
"Baby niyo ko wala kayong choice."
"Ikaw talaga! Nga pala are your ate's here?"
"Nope, the ate's stayed at ate Ianna's condo bukas pa siguro sila uuwi."
"Just you and Mama Ris then?"
"Yes po."
