Y/n POV
"Ha! I told you I would win Grimes!!!" I said throwing my hands up in the air as a victory. "You only won cause I wasn't paying attention...but I will give you credit on the sneak attack." Carl said pushing me slightly. "Just wait Grimes, soon enough you'll know just how great of a true fighter I am." I said laughing and nudging his arm with my elbow. After that we got called down saying our shift is over. " Already?!" Carl said just as confused as he looked. " Dinner is done that's why!" Maggie yelled with Glenn. " So Y/n what were you and Carl doing with all that giggling?" Maggie asks pushing my arm and laughing with the rest of the table. "Pushing each other around like cats and dogs, anything else would be unpleasant to say and do." I said sounding smarter than all of the other people. "You sure you two didn't almost kiss?" Glenn asked, that's when me and Carl looked at each other and blushed so bright. Then we yelled absolutely not and ran to our shared room. "Carl, we have to make them think we're not dating at all!" I said whisper yelling so they can't hear us and our plan. "Y/n no Offense but enough with the plans, they just make it seem like we're together and trying to hide the fact we are together." Carl said rubbing his neck and taking off his hat just to put it on the table. "Then what do we do?" I asked curious. "Simple, we just let them think that. And to us we just know we will always be friends and nothing more." Carl said laying down and patting the spot next to him. "Now come on let's sleep so we can wake up and have a good day." He told me with a exhausted voice. I was hurt when he acted like us staying just friends was all that we'll be, but I don't know why I felt like I was going to cry. I guess I'm just weird. "Y/n?" Carl said turning over to face me. "Yes Carl?" I said not facing him. "Do you think the governor will take the prison?" Carl asked me with a hushed voice. "Carl, even if he does take this place we kinda call home. As long as we get out alive and with everyone, he can have it." I told Carl finally turning towards him. " But what if he kills us?" Carl says sitting up. I follow his action. "If he kills one of us then we kill him. And I'm scared about what will happen but at the end... someone gets hurt." I said looking downward and feeling helpless was something I couldn't help but show. Carl takes my hand in his and drags me out of bed after him. "Carl!? What are you doing what if we get caught?" I yelled in a bit of a whisper. "Then we tell them we got hungry, and if that doesn't work we just tell them what we really were doing." He said dragging me outside and to the watch tower. "If we get caught, you better have a good plan to get us out of trouble!?" I tell him when we walk out to the tower.
"Ughhh I hate climbing that latterrrrr!!!" I puff out angrily letting my H/c hair fall around my face. "Heyyyy, your the one who still let me drag you up here...and you could have taken the steps." Carl said although the last part was in a hushed voice so I couldn't quite hear it but that's when it clicked. "THERE ARE STARIS IN THIS TOWER OF HELL!" I yell a bit to loud and that's when we heard running towards the tower and we looked out to see almost everyone searching and running around outside. "Uh-oh...we are in hugeeee trouble now." I said looking at my partner in crime. "Well maybe lets not tell them the full truth?" Carl said looking at the adults yelling for us. "Carl if we tell them that we snuck out at the same time for 'peace and quiet' they'll think we are up to things." I glared at him while speaking in a monotone voice. "Well what's so bad with that?" Carl asked still looking at the adults running around. "Carl we won't get to hang out as much and be able to share a room." I said finally getting furious and slightly yelling it. That's when the adults voices hushed to a stop. That's when we saw Rick,Maggie , Glenn, and Michone coming towards us and there was no where to hide. "Carl?! What do we do?We can not get caught!" I said in a very low voice but you could hear the nervousness in it clearly. "It's okay follow me I know how to get down with out getting caught." Carl said taking us to the stairs and waiting for them to come open the door. And when they did we started running down the stairs and that's when Maggie and Glenn saw something run. "RICK WE SEE SOMEONE WITH CARL!" Maggie yelled running after us. "WHY DO I ALWAYS AGREE WITH YOUR DUMB PLANS!" I somewhat yelled at the brunette in front of me. I shook my head and walked towards the other entrance that nobody goes through and it's in the other cell block. "I don't know why you agree honestly, but you still do so I think we're all good on that." Carl giggled laughing at his own words. I stopped and looked at him trying to be annoyed by it but I couldn't help but laugh at his dumb words and giggles. "Yeah, as much as i hate your dumb ideas I still feel like I need to agree for your own sake." I said walking next to him and nudging him lightly with a big smile on my face. "I'm glad you do then I wouldn't be able to do this!" Carl said while he picked me up and put me on his shoulders and laughing so much I think we both were going to piss our pants! "Carl! S-stop! I-I can't take ittt!" I yelled laughing and we ran to the cell block everyone happens to be at. "Never Y/n/n!" He yells at me running in the center of everyone. That's when Rick yelled "CORALLL!! That's when my eyes went  wide and my mouth went dry. And I noticed so did Carls. "D-dad-." Carl tried to speak but Rick cut him off yelling at us. And Carl put me down and stood close next to me and I held his hand tightly. "YOU SNUCK OUT AT NIGHT AND RAN FROM US! YOU KNOW WHO IS TRYING TO KILL US AND YOU'RE BEING FUCKING CARELESS!" Rick yelled and for the first time I started tearing up from it I was scared not because he yelled at me. But because we found a safe spot and are getting threatened by some man called the governor.
I was scared...and that's when I felt something I thought I would only feel if someone left me. The urge to kill anything and everything.
