Kate's POV
It's been two months now. I ignored every call and every text Matty sended me. I just try to go on with my life, to study for university, to work in the bakery...and cry all night. The first night was horrible. I was sobbing so hard, i barely could breathe. When i told Becca about all what happened, she decided i should not be home alone and stayed with me. So every night when i am crying or screaming, she comes over and hold me till i calm down.
It's friday, and i am working. Becca said i should forget about Matty. But how can i forget him, when i have met him here, for the first time?Every time the bell rings, i am looking up, hoping it's Matty. But he never appears. I am cleaning the tables, when the door is opened.
Gemma is coming in, with a little baby in her arms. I am just staring at her. "Hey...what is your name again?" "Kate", i murmur. She seems happy, when she shows me her baby. "He is cute isn't he? I am so proud of him. Me and his daddy are the happiest parents in the world", she giggles. I froze. His daddy? Matty? Are they together now?
"How about you, Kate? Oh...by the way, i am so sorry about what happened at this concert of the boys. I wasn't myself, i guess. And i told Matty-" "Its okay", i cut her off. She smiles, "Coffee, please" While i am preparing her coffee, she talks to her little son, who is giggling all the time. "Here you are" I avoid her glare, when she is taking the cup. "Thank you, Kate. Oh...can you tell Matty that we-" "We aren't together anymore Gemma", i snap, finally looking at her. Gemma raises her brows. "Really? But i thought...When have you talked to him lastly?" I can feel tears coming up, when i remember the night Matty sat infront of my door. "Two months..." Gemma looks at me, compassionately. "I am sorry for you...Matty seemed happy with you." "Excuse me..", i whisper and turn around, running in the rest room, crying again.
After my shift, i am walking home, inhaling the cold, fresh air. So when Gemma didn't know about me and Matty, she could not be together with him right? Does that mean..? I don't even want to hope that, but does that mean this baby is not Matty's? Because Gemma said, she and his daddy are happy....
I am thinking about till i arrive home. Becca isn't there, she just left a note saying, Hey Kate, i'm out with Ben. Ordered pizza for you, i will be back soon xx
Heyy, that means it will be just me and a pizza, nice company...
I grab the plate, sit down on the sofa, when my phone is buzzing. George's calling... What the??? "Hello?" "Kate?? Hi George here" "Hi, whats up?" He hesitates for a moment. "Nothing...i..i have heard about you and Matty. I am sorry for you Kate, i didn't believe you two would break up." "Its okay...wait, Matty didn't tell you?" He sighs,"I haven't seen him for a while. I thought he was with you, but today i have met Gemma and she told me you have broke up." "So you don't know where Matty is??" My heart is beating faster. What if he is hurt? What if he- "No but i think i know where he is then...I will find him Kate okay?" "Yeah, thanks..." "Okay...uhm Kate?" "Yeah?" "Do you love him? He can be a dick sometimes, but i know he loves you." "Of course, i do. I love him more than ever. But George...i have one question. Is he the father?"
