I shifted and sat up as Newt walked out the door, wiping away any of the tears that still flowed down my cheeks. I braced myself for the boys who would run in and I'm glad I did.

About two seconds after Newt leaving, a clump of boys ran in. Chuck, Minho and Thomas in the front with Gally, Frypan and Alby in the back.

Once they made it through the door, Chuck and Thomas jumped onto me and hugged me tightly.

I wheezed a long laugh, "I c-can't breath!"

The two climbed off and Alby smacked them each in the head.

Minho then crouched down and grabbed my hand, "How you feeling?" His eyes shone a sad happy look that flowed with regret.

"Minho, I'm fine..."

"But you ran to protect us! We could have fought it." Thomas landed on his knees next to Minho and I smiled.

"You don't know that. I found a way to save two of three and managed to save all three. You don't need to worry about me." I chuckled lightly and shifted when Thomas's eyes travelled to the red stained bandages wrapped around my arm.

"You saved us all but that still happened." He gently ran his finger across my hand and sighed.

"I'm alive aren't I. And so are you."

"You nearly weren't." Gally mumbled, Alby shooting him a glare when Gally shrugged, "I'm right aren't I? You came in with Minho carrying you unconscious."

Alby sighed loudly, shushing everyone quickly, "We're just happy your safe. Now. Can we give her some space and not crush her to death." He glared at Thomas and Chuck again before leading them out.

Chuck taking a sneaky hug on the way and smiling at me before he vanished.

I let my hand slowly run across the red bandage, feeling the dip if where the wound would be below them. I sighed again, hanging my head down and clenching my jaw tightly when the door to the hut opened again and in walked Newt. He was carrying a small metal bowl with steam rising from the top and a fork stuck in the side.

"Fry whipped this up for you." He placed it on the small table to the side of the bed, "you doing okay? The boys almost crush you?" He sat on the edge of the creaky bed, wrapping his arm around my shoulder.

I nodded, "Chuck and Thomas did but Gally was actually really upset. Normally he's a real shank when someone gets hurt."

He kissed the end of my nose and stood up, "Your special to all of us. Now eat and rest. I'll give you some along time." He hugged me and walked out.

I heard the bang of the maze doors and sighed, standing up with a slight wobble and a sting in my legs that hurt from the running for my life I did the day before.

I slowly walked out into the glade, scanning the grassy area and seeing everyone slowly come away from their work. Alby and Newt surveying them all as the lead man and second in command.

The sent of Fry's dinner hit me and I smiled, knowing it would be a while longer so I headed for the forest.

I walked all the way to the back of the small forest the glade housed. In the very back was the deadheads. It was an even smaller area that was grey and had almost dead trees all around it. And in the ground, gravestones. Many gravestones pocked out from under the earth and names carved into the wood.

I walked through them, scanning them all before sitting with my back resting on the large maze wall. I front of me was a small bit of Wood sticking from the ground with George carved into it messily. My mind flicked back to the wall of the maze, the small bit of concrete with every gladers name scratched into it, some with thin lines running through them. I frowned at the memory of their deaths, some being stung and going through the changing, others killed somewhere in the maze and one trying to climb the vines hanging from the walls, only to fall and die.

It was strangely calming in the deadheads. All the noises from the glade were muffled and it was strangely still back there. I rubbed my face and ran a hand through my hair, feeling the scratch of the bandages run across my wound making me wince.

I lifted my head that hung between my knees, my arms over my head when I heard a slight scuttling and I looked up. A small red dot in the trees that seemed to freeze when I spotted it before it scuttled up the bark and pounced onto the branch just about me. Watching me the whole time. I sighed, giggling to myself as the beetle bug disappeared from my vision.

Then I stopped at the sound of footsteps, lowing my head again so it hung in between my knees as my arms wrapped around my legs. The footsteps stopped for a moment then came a sigh and someone sat down beside me.

"I knew you weren't ok." Minho ran his arm around my shoulders and pulled me close to him, "Now why you back here? C'mon, talk to me." he rubbed his thumb over my shoulder.

I looked up and sighed, tucking my head into the crook of his neck, "Thought I could get away, clearly not." I chuckled under my breath and looked over all the small grave stones around us.

Minho sighed again, "So you came here to hang out with the dead gladers? The ones you nearly joined?"

I felt my eyes start to sting with his words and looked away quickly, "yeah..." I mumbled.
