It had been a strange afternoon for the Glee kids. They had just been on their way to practice with Rachel rambling on about solos, when an unusual sensation overcame them; causing them to pass out. It felt like mere seconds before they woke up again in a completely different room, lying on the floor. They seemed to have all woken up at once as they looked around at their surroundings with bewildered expressions. The room was filled with chairs and a large television screen was situated at the front.

"Am I dead?" Quinn's soft voice filled the silence of the dark room. "Is this hell?"

"No, it can't be: Mr Shue isn't rapping." Kurt replied as he sat up from the floor.

"Ha! Good one, Porcelain."

The glee club turned quickly to find Sue Sylvester grimacing by the wall with her arms crossed.

"What is this, Sue?" Mr Schuester scolded as he got to his feet. "We don't have time for this! Regionals is next week! We need to practice! If we lose-"

"Hold your horses there, William," Sue smirked, "this isn't me."

"That is such bullcrap," Santana rolled her eyes before helping Brittany up from the floor. "This has 'Sue' written all over it."

"She has a point," Finn agreed.

"I regret to inform you, Sandbags-" Sue chuckled at the cheerleader's scowl, "-I have absolutely no idea what is happening, so I'd lose the attitude unless you wanna be kicked off the cheerios."

Brittany looped pinkies with her girlfriend, "I prefer Lucky Charms."

"You wouldn't kick me out. I'm one of your head cheerleaders and I'm your best student."

"Try me," the coach challenged.

"Hey er..." Blaine stepped between the two and smiled nervously. He waved around the room, "maybe you should... rain-check that conversation." He sighed, "and instead, we figure out what is actually happening."

Brittany gently pulled Santana into one of the nearest chairs as the rest of the Glee club nodded in agreement. Santana smiled at Brittany.

"Blaine's right," Mercedes grimaced, "I want to get out of here. I have places to be."

"Like where?" Artie raised his eyebrow.

"Like my nice warm bed and my favourite tv show," Mercedes smiled blissfully before sending a glare at her friend, "I was going to invite you, but now? I'm not too sure."

"You were gonna watch it without me?" Sam frowned as he looked at his girlfriend.

"You're automatically invited," Mercedes shrugged with a small smile, "but if no one else is coming, then... I guess it's a date."

"Heh, cool," Sam blushed slightly as he grinned.

"How come Berry hasn't had anything to say about this?" Quinn questioned as she looked around the room.

Everyone turned their head in the direction of Rachel.

She was stood in the front of the room by the large television and she held something in her hand. Confusion and disbelief was written on her face as she stared at the object.

"What's that, Rachel?" Mr Shue asked as he walked next to her.

In her hands was a video tape with a post-it note on the side. Rachel cleared her throat before turning towards her friends and reading it out with a shaky voice, "In this tape you will find a series of some important scenes of some of the members of Glee club. It will contain scenes of the very people in this room. Mostly the past, but also the future. This is so you can get a greater understanding of the people in this room that you consider your friend. Coach Sylvester and Mr Schuester are here to supervise. You must watch the tape before you leave. Goodbye."

"Well that doesn't sound creepy at all," Kurt said sarcastically as he shared a fearful look with Blaine. They held hands in reassurance.

"This actually feels like something Mr Shue would do. Not Coach Sylvester," Mercedes admitted as she took a seat beside Sam.

"What?" Shue turned to her with an offended expression.

Sue beamed.

"You know what? You have a point, Mercedes. It does feel like something he would do. It's like when he attempts to include life lessons in Glee," Tina agreed.

Mr Shue frowned, "hey, wait a minute-"

"'To gain a greater understanding of the people in this room that you consider your friend.'" Mike chuckled as he quoted the note. "That definitely sounds like a Mr Shue line."

"Oh, 100%," Rachel nodded before handing the video tape to Finn for him to look at.

Puck leaned back in his chair, "without a doubt."

"Well there you have it, William," Sue smiled, "it appears your students have spoken. You're more likely to be the creepy, life-lesson teaching and incredibly annoying version of Marty McFly than I am. So let's just wrap this up and kick down the door."

"It won't budge," Puck muttered from his seat. "I already tried it when you were arguing with Santana. And if the Puckasaurus can't kick it down then no one can."

"Well, great. Just great," Santana groaned, leaning her head on Brittany's shoulder.

"Sweetie, it's okay," Brittany played with her hair soothingly. "We're together. And anyway, I think it'll be fun."

"How?" Rachel asked incredulously. "We are trapped in a room with a creepy note and a videotape that shows our past and future. How could this be fun?"

"Like I said," Brittany smiled genuinely, "we're all together. My favourite people. Well... all except my family, Lord Tubbington and Britney Spears."

"That's sweet, Britt," Mike beamed at his friend.

"What are we going to do?" Artie sighed, getting the conversation back on track.

"I guess there's nothing else we can do," Finn shrugged. "We have to watch it."

"You can not be serious right now," Quinn scoffed, her hands on her hips and eyebrow raised.

Before Finn could argue, Santana spoke up begrudgingly, "Q, I hate to agree with Finnocence," she grimaced, "but what else are we going to do?"

Quinn seemed at a loss for words. She sighed in defeat and groaned before moving beside Brittany and Santana.

"Right, well... that's settled then," Mr Shue frowned deeply. He glanced around at his students and shook his head. "Take a seat everyone." He placed the tape in the machine and watched as the television shone with life.

Numbers showed up in the corner of the blue screen; counting down from ten.

Everyone stared at the TV anxiously as they waited for it to start.
