Kiba guided me back downstairs and to the kitchen where I could see a pool out the back. Like I never really thought of Kiba to be wealthy, but to have a pool in your backyard in Konoha wasn't a normal thing.

He opened the slide door to the back patio and looked at me as I stayed there stunned and still processing what I was looking at.

"What?"

"Is this your way of telling me you're rich?"

"Haha I'm not rich. What just because there's a pool in the backyard?"

"Yeah, obviously."

"That's nothing, it's just something mom and her brothers built."

"Your family made their own pool?" I gasped.

"Yeah, just a little cement, some knowledge on plumbing and a few hours of daily labor and you can get yourself a medium sized pool for a house of four." He explained as if he was promoting an advertisement.

"Haha you make it sound so fun and easy."

"It is, maybe one day I can show you how to make it."

"You know how to make one?"

"Of course! I was there helping out, don't think these muscles are just for show. I help out a lot around here." He boasted as he began flexing in front of me.

"I wouldn't want to take that a way from you Captain Armstrong." I saluted.

"Oh! It's that a nickname I hear."

"Hm, more like a mocking name."

"Pfft, if you say so." He chuckled. "Now come on outside. I got something to show you before it gets late."

"Before it gets late for?"

"The dogs need to be fed."

"Eh? So what does that have to do with me?" I asked.

"You don't want to help me?"

"I didn't really offer to help, much less knew why we came down here."

"Yet you followed me without a question."

"Still not my fault."

"Then what is it, my charm?"

"Oh please." I replied rolling my eyes in amusement.

"Haha come on, it'll be fine. Just don't show them any fear and it'll be okay."

"Didn't you say they didn't bite? So why would I not need to show them fear?"

"Because I'll be there with you."

"Oh so you'll take the bite off for me?"

"You won't get bitten at all, and we'll get to feed my massive, scary dogs as you'd call it."

"..." I hesitated.

"Come on. Don't let me have to drag you out here." He dared as he approached me.

"Alright, alright!" I stopped him, making my towards the door and peeking outside to see the nicely decorated backyard filled with plants and a nice dark brown wall high enough for privacy.

In the distance was a gate that I figured was a path for the dogs to access the front and back of the yard. The moment I saw one of them and they saw me and attempted to jump the short gate, if you ask me, I went back inside.
