Naruto?" He called once more as I just stood there motionlessly, still in shock from what I heard.

But I couldn't understand why?

Why did hearing him say such things to a friend of his make me feel so, hurt?

"Naruto!" He raised his voice, snapping me out of my trance.

"Huh?"

"Are you okay?" He asked with a confused expression.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" I asked, as if I wasn't staring into space like I had been possessed.

"Because you stood there like we're possessed."

"That's...That's just because, because, because, because... I wasn't sure if the TV was on and I wanted to be cartoony and make you think that I can see into the future, like that girl, ya know...the girl that could see into the future..." I trailed as he looked at me as if I had two heads.

Which was a valid expression.

"But, I see that it failed so hahah. I'll just head back up and get ready to-"

"Stop bullshiting me. I know when you're lying, ya know?" He spat as he put emphasis on my habit making it clear that I was indeed lying.

"So what is it?"

"Hm?"

"I said it was nothing."

"It has to be something for you to lie like that, plus if I remember correctly a certain someone did say they would talk to me about anything because they realized they weren't asking me enough questions." He pointed out as he walked closer to me.

Instinctively I took a step back, thinking he was about to approach me and do something that would get us caught and me found out.

But he only took one step and then stopped.

"..." He stared at me as I continued to stare at him.

"Why'd you back away?" He asked.

"..."

"Hm, what happened to you wanting to talk to me now, huh? Last night I wouldn't give you even a single response and now that I'm up and willing you don't want to talk and now you're backing away from me."

"That's not it."

"Then what is?

"Kiba, you know my family are upstairs."

"I know that, but you say that like I was about to do something that would get us in trouble. Are you telling me that I can't even stand next to you now?"

"I didn't say that."

"Then what are you trying to tell me?!" He whispered under his breath, but from the look of his eyes I knew he wanted to scream. "Because if I do back away you get skeptical yet when you do it to me, it's different."

"..." I remained quiet, not knowing what to say or even understanding how I was truly feeling.

"Crap..." He sighed as he pinched his nose bridge. "When are we going to stop this?"
