chapter 15

Este is doing her makeup, getting herself ready for a movie premiere. It still feels really weird to even think about it. She doesn't know how much makeup you wear to a thing like that so she just looks up a picture of Kylie Jenner and recreates it. It ends up looking fine, since it was a basic look.

She puts on her shoes and does her hair. When she looks in the mirror she is actually quite happy with the finished look. The jewelry looks good and her hair is different then normal which is what she wanted to achieve.

Seconds later the doorbell rings and she rushes herself downstairs. When she opens it a smile appears on her face. There Kit is, looking very cute and all dressed up. He is smiling as well giving her a warm feeling.

"You look stunning" he says, kissing her cheeks.

"Thank you. You look pretty fine yourself."

"Ready to go?"

"Yeah one second, let me just say goodbye to my family."

Este kisses her parents goodbye and then returns to the front door where Kit is patiently waiting for her. When he sees her return he holds out his hand as she takes it, interlocking their fingers. They walk to the car together and sit down. Since Kit doesn't have a license his father is bringing them.

The car ride is nice but Este is getting a little bit nervous. She is fiddling with her hands and playing with her rings. When Kit notices her anxious behavior he takes her hand in his again and calms her down with reassuring words. They arrive a few minutes later and they get out of the car.

"We are gonna walk the carpet first, it won't be long since it's not my favorite thing."

"Maybe you should just go by yourself? I don't know people might be speculating about us and we are not even dating."

"I want to show you off. You're special to me and I don't care if people will think we are in a relationship. I was gonna ask you after but I'll just do it now. Este do you wanna officially be my girlfriend?"

"Yes! Of course."

They both smile as he pecks her lips quickly. They then walk the carpet together posing and smiling at each other. Kit admits he likes walking the carpet with someone on his side way better.

After all of that stuff they go inside the cinema and watch the movie. It's absolutely beautiful and Este just loves seeing how much Kit enjoys movies like these. She can see the genuine smile and him mouthing the words of the songs he knows.

"That was incredible."

"Hm it honestly was even more entertaining just looking at you and your happy face."

"Stop, I just love movies alright?"

"It's okay. It was very cute."

He blushes as they walk into the room where the 'after party' is. Kit talks to multiple famous people and Este stands next to him trying not to freak out and act cool. Everything goes to plan until she sees Olivia De Jonge. She has always been obsessed with 'the society' and is still mad it didn't get another season.

"Oh my god Nick Nelson!" Olivia says enthusiastically.

Kit smiles and shakes her hand, Este does the same thing smiling brightly. They both introduce themselves and Kit holds his hand around Este's waist protectively.

"You watched Heartstopper?" Kit asks, a little surprised.

"Of course I did! It was such a cute show, you were so good."

"Ahw thank you!"

"You were amazing too, we just watched the movie and I'm blown away by your performance" Este says taking her shot to finally talk to someone.

"That's so sweet! We really enjoyed making it so I'm very proud of the final product. I'm glad you two enjoyed it."

"Yeah, apparently I was smiling the whole way through the movie. At least that's what the girlfriend here says."

"He was, I'm not lying!"

"Don't worry I believe you Este."

After talking to many more people and dancing together to some songs they decide to go home. Kit and his dad drop her off at the house and he, as the gentleman he is, walks her to the door and kisses her softly.

Este gets inside and closes the door. She still has the truest smile on her face, super happy about how her life is right now. It all feels too good to be true.
