Lucie's POV:
We made it to Erwins signal, I yelled for him "ERWIN! WAIT A SECOND!" he turned his head, looking back at us, his brows furrowed as he haulted slightly, ordering the others to do the same. "What is it? Why are you off course?" I rode beside his horse. "There's an abnormal, sir." I spoke, my voice slightly shaken as I remember the incident. "I saw the signals! Now go back to your positions!" Erwin glared. "Wait-! I don't think it's a normal abnormal, it shows intelligence! Like Erens Titan!" Armin spoke, coming up beside me as he was on the back of  Jess's horse. "What?" Erwin looked surprised "This is no time for jokes! So you better not be playing, boy." Erwin spoke. "No! We saw it! The abnormal looks feminine! And she killed our squads!" Armin exclaimed, panicked. Erwin sighed, thinking for a moment, "Right, all four of you shall come with us. We're continuing on our path." Erwin said rather calmly. "What?! We're not going back to the walls? It's obvious the mission has failed! The right-wing squads are dead!" Jess spoke up. "YOU LISTEN TO MY ORDERS! NOW GET BEHIND US." Erwin yelled, turning to us with a deadly glare. We were silent for a moment before me and Jess haulted, joining the squad as we rode in the back.

"What are we gonna do? They won't listen to us." Jean whispered to me, still sat behind me as he had his arms around my waist. "I don't know.." I sighed, I knew about the Titan users, but I only knew Reiner and Bertholdt, plus Eren which I had just found out about the same time the others had but now a female Titan? was this Titan another Titan user that works with Zeke? I forrowed my brows, lost in my train of thought.

Erwin started commanding members of the group, I looked ahead, seeing a large stretch of trees. "Why are we going into the forest?! Surely this isn't safe!" Jean yelled, I cover my ear with one of my head as he yelled into it. "Watch it- But you have a point." I sighed.

"INFORM EVERYONE BEHIND US! ONLY THE CENTRE WAGON DEFENSE SQUAD IS TO ENTER THIS FOREST!" Erwin commanded, "YES SIR!" two scouts broke off, we entered the forest, the sun was blocked out by the tall trees. "Talk about sun block, heh.." Jean joked, me, Jess and Armin all turned to him, "What? It was a good one!" We rolled our eyes, turning back.

{Time skip, still Lucie's POV}

"You four newbies. Take the horses and tie them to trees 60 feet west, you got that?" Erwin turned to us, I gave a nod, taking the ropes of three horses as the others did the same and we headed west, carefully walking through the forest as Armin took lead, counting his steps as he went. "35.. 36.. 37.. 38.." He'd mumble, eyes on the floor. The grass was rather long yet flat in some places and there were wounds in some trees showing dried sap that had leaked from the trees, this had definitely been used by Titans. "43.. 44.. 45.. 46.." Armin continued, I just hated the countdown, like it was a countdown to our own deaths. "57.. 58.. 59.. and.. 60!" He smiled, planting his foot down quite dramatically as he turned to us with the same smile. "There! Now we just need to tie the horses to a nearby tree!" Armin looked around, walking over to a tall yet slimmer tree compared to the others. "This seems good." We all walked over, tying our horses to the tree. "Right, now we can go back and see what else needs done." We turned back, returning to the others.

I looked up to see large gunpowder barrels with what looked like rocket spears in the front. "What on earth?" I looked up, a little concerned. "Ah, we'll be taking down this female Titan that you speak of, using these we'll hopefully capture her and reveal who this traitor is." Erwin spoke, walking over to us. "Now I want all four of you up in those trees with the others, take a tree between two, stay in the pairs you were in when on the horses, okay?" Erwin gave us a serious look, before quickly cutting it off with a smile. "Be careful, now go!" We nodded, using out ODM gear to grapple up the trees as me and Jean took our place on the large branch, crouched as we looked ahead, Jess and Armin just across from us. "God we're so dead here.." Jean spoke, looking to the forest floor. "With that attitude you might as well just jump off and leave me with your gear." I mumbled, irritated by his attitude. "Look I know you're not really bothered by death! But I am! I never even wanted to be a scout in the first place!" He turned to me, brows furrowed in agitation. "Then why are you here? Hm? For some dead guy?!" I turned to face him, my brows knitted together.
