Needless to say the glares I got walking down the corridor hallways, I cursed at myself for. And with every glare I got, I gave Jace one with even more hatefulness designed in it.
"This is all your fault" I deadpanned onto him, giving him another glare. "You shouldn't have given me the shirt in the first place?" He shrugged a smirk forming onto his features.
"Yeah, I'd rather you without a shirt now" I huffed turning into another hallway. He laughed at this and I just shoved him a bit.
"Not what I mean" I muttered.

We finally made are way into what looked like another library, but even bigger. "This is as far as I can go.. have fun" he smiled leaning on the door.
I rolled my eyes at him and walked in, and down the stairs.
"Hello dear!" A voice rang out walking down the stairs.
"Hello.." I said back a little taken aback, on how excited his voice actually was. "Welcome to the institute.. or welcome back!" He said walking up to me.
"I won't hold you here long, you need to go and test your abilities and meet everyone but I will tell you somethings. From here on out your life is going to change. You no longer behold a life that's "normal" you hold a life with power, and responsibilities. Your everyday job is to protect, from demons. You'll begin to train, before I throw you out there but I'm sure that you won't take long."
"You are what you've been made of. Your siblings are quite excited to see you. And I think your names rung out around the institute already. Do not let anything or anyone get to you. It shows your weakness.."
I hope that my names rung out for the right reasons? I already can since how many people probably hate me already.
"Jace will be one to be around you for awhile intill your fully filled in on your place.." he handed me a book, reading "Lightwood Family Tree".
"Everything you need to know is in there.. but I warn you now, do not lose this book!" He said very seriously. I nodded my head over and over again.
And he smiled at me. "Now you be off, to your first day of training. Jace is by the door and he'll help you find it." Hodge said walking away from me.
~~~~~~~~~
Jace was already beside the door, once I had walked out. To be totally honest Hodge, wasn't at all what I was expecting. I was expecting more of a serious, and time taking man.
The guy told me absolutely nothing about my real family, and just handed me a book? I had it under my left arm. Holding it tightly closed to my body.
"How'd it go?" Jace asked seeing my not so surprised features.
"Well, to be totally far, I was expecting much more? I didn't here a word about my family and all he gave me was a book?" I muttered disappointed.
"Well did you take a look in it? I'm sure you'll find something extravagant to your liking" he smiled down at me.
"I know, it's not that I'm upset over the book? I just expected to be told in person. I'm not one for books?"
"I'm very glad I'll have something, other than nothing but I'm just let down.?" I muttered as we walked into another unfamiliar room.
"Glad to know that? You can channel it all into me when we train!" He said highly sarcastic.
"Your just helping me find the place I'm not training with you!" I said not switching hands with the book.
"Well, it sounds to me like your just scared your going to make a mockery out of yourself?" He said taking the book from my hands and placing it onto a shelf.
"Yes Jace! That is exactly why I don't want to train with you simply because your ego, is the size at this whole institute!" I put my hands on my hips now.
He just chuckled at that and turned around grabbing a sword that looked exactly like the sword he tried to kill me with the night before.
"And who's to say you won't officially kill me this time?" I said circling around him. "You have no idea! If I were to even put a hand on you Alec would feed me to werewolf's. I wouldn't hurt you!" He said smirking.
I sighed and gave in now.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Alright listen, I want you to just go full on so I can see exactly what I'm working with." He was actually serious now and it made me laugh hysterically.
"Be prepared to be amazed" I said eying him.
"Aren't you a little cocky now?" He muttered placing the sword back from where it originally designed from.
He got into a stance, so I took it as a "get serious" moment and I got into a stance also. But it only caused him to start to chuckle.
"You have your thumbs out like that, in a fight, and your break them completely off.." he said walking up to me and grabbing my wrist.
"I've got it" I muttered taking my wrist out of his grasp. Feeling the mockery already settle in.
But as quick as it came it was gone. I fixed my grip, and quickly landed a punch to him. Making him feel slightly embarrassed.
But as much as that confidence came, it got blew out ten times faster.
Jace got behind me and quickly grabbed both of my arms. Leading me to be absolutely defenseless.
"Not bad.. I actually like you better like this!" He said adding the cockyness into his sentence.
There was the feeling, the feeling of mockery.
And it screamed my name.
