I woke up on Saturday with Andile's arms around me. We had slept together yesterday because we wouldn't really have been able to explain our separate room situation to the elders. For a second I wanted to cuddle up against his chest but then I remembered, I had chores to do. I unwrapped his arms from me and he woke up. "For Christ's sake Kea, where are you going this early?" he asked and I got out of bed. "I have things to do, like preparing breakfast," I said as I walked over to my suitcase. "I'm sure they can survive without you for an extra hour," he muttered and I glared at him. I selected a pinafore, doek and vest and went to shower. I showered, lotioned and got dressed. I wore black sneakers and put my doek on. I went out of the bedroom and found Andile, still asleep. He looked so quiet and peaceful, as if all the problems of the world didn't exist. That's what I missed most about us sleeping together, watching him rest. "Are you going to leave or uzong'gqolozela for the next hour?" he asked without opening his eyes and I rolled my eyes and quietly left the room to the main house. I opened the door and walked in. I walked across the white living room tiles, past the gleaming wooden staircase and in to one of the cleanest kitchens I have ever seen (apart from mine of course). I set about making breakfast, porridge for some, sandwiches for the kids and somewhat of a farmhouse breakfast for everyone else. I had just boiled the water when Sethu walked in, looking gorgeous as she always does, no make-up, no weave just her and vibes (and a doek). She smiled as she saw me and I smiled back. I hadn't seen her in a week and she wasn't at the meeting because she had been in Umtata. "Hey you, do you honestly have to look gorgeous every time I see you?" I asked and she laughed quietly. I walked over to her and we hugged. "Did they tell you?" she whispered as we hugged and we broke apart and I nodded. She sighed, "I couldn't deal with it and so I went home for a while. It's just weird thinking about it, like how many business trips had actually been trips to.... murder people," she said and I took her hand. "Well good thing we are super women, we are going to deal with this and walk out with our heads held high," I said and we smiled. She started with the sandwiches and I made porridge. After a while, a couple more ladies joined us. By the time the homestead showed signs of life, breakfast was served. The kids got sandwiches and juice after bathing and Naye came over to give me a hug. "Did you sleep well?" I asked and she nodded. "You didn't give gogo and 'khulu problems did you?" I asked and she shook her head. "Good girl, go eat then," I said and she left. The rest of the day was spent in a blur, with making food, running around getting things done, welcoming people and being introduced to people. By the time the rest of the house had gone to sleep, I was tired, my feet throbbed, my cheeks hurt and I had a few cuts on my fingers. I dragged myself to Andile's cottage and found him on the bed shirtless. He greeted me and I nodded in reply as I dragged myself to my suitcase. I took my pajamas and went in to the bathroom. I showered, and got dressed seeing as I was too tired to put my lotion on. I brushed my teeth and went back in to the bedroom. Andile was already in bed, working on his laptop. I slid in besides him, checked a few emails and put my phone away. "Is this what we have become now?" Andile asked as I closed my eyes. "I don't understand," I replied without looking at him. "This whole not talking to each other thing, is that what we are now? People who only sleep in the same bed to convince the public we are happy?" he asked and I sat up. "What do you expect me to do? You asked for a divorce, you asked me to keep it private, you left me! What did you expect me to do? Welcome you back from the dead and act as if everything is okay? Well I'm sorry but I can't," I said fuming. He sighed and said nothing. We sat like that for a while before he spoke. "I wish you would hate me. I wish you would kick me out and tell me you hate me. I wish that I couldn't see how much you still care and love me every time I look in to your eyes," he said and it was my turn to keep quiet. "Why did you get your tattoo removed?" he asked and I sighed. "It was kinda depressing to look at it every day," I replied. "Undiqumbele MaMoloi?" he asked taking my hand in to his. Yho! I should really thank his mother for teaching him Xhosa 'cause when he speaks it my clit twitches. "I can't be mad at you, you know that," I said still avoiding eye contact. "Kutheni pho ungangibuki, kanti ngithetha ngedwa?" he said and my nipples hardened. I swear to God if this man doesn't stop I'm going to have an orgasm. "Andile-" I started but he cut me off. "Ndijonge, I can't be that ugly," he said and I laughed and looked up. "Okay thetha ke, and if you are going to tell me some bullshit about not getting back together mane ulale," he replied. Yho! "Okay good night ke," I said as I turned away and covered my body. "Uphambene kanti, vuka uthethe nami," he said pulling back the covers. Lord have mercy on me and forgive me for all my dirty thoughts. "What do you want me to do, you said I should sleep," I replied. "Does that mean you don't' want to work on us?" he asked softly. "I wasn't aware there was an 'us'," I replied. "Hai uphambene uma ucinga ukuba I'm asking you. You are mine, akekho ozok'thatha even you can't leave me. Ungumfazi wami nomama wabantwana bami abawu-12 and I'm your gorgeous husband and father to your 12 children," he replied, batho bamodimo this man is crazy. "12 children from where? Wagafa?" I asked shocked. "Angihlanyi, kanti aren't you going to give me more children?" he asked. Okay I guess we are back together now... "Ha-a one more is my limit Mkhize, more than that is beyond my vagina, tjo!" I said. "Mhmm sizobona and anyways your vagina has been through worse, usulibele ngoMkhize junior?" he asked and my panties got soaked even further. "Hayini Andile, behave," I said looking down. "Haibo this is my father's house and you are my wife, I can say whatever I want," he replied, this man is beyond me. "Ungehlule Khabazela," I say blushing and he smiles. "You should call me that more often and Zulu suits you, not that ga ga nonsense you speak," he said. Aibo! Kitla entsang kamuna ona. "Aibo that ga ga nonsense is my mother tongue, I won't change for a man," I said defiantly. "Uke wangizwa ngithi shintsha? Ngithe speak it more often," he said crossing his arms, haibo lendoda. "Mxm, you should speak Xhosa more often it suits you," I replied. "Haibo usholo ukuthi isiZulu sami is wack," he asked sounding agitated. "Aibo I didn't say that Khabazela, don't take offence," I said and he smiled. "Aii bendizi ncokolela kaloku, ngiyazi isiZulu sami makes panties moist," he said arrogantly. If only he knew. "Aibo wazelaphi who have you been charming?" I ask frowning; I hope for his and my sake he wasn't fucking anyone while he was.... away. "Aibo kutheni uqumba, ngiyadlala mkami. I'm just assuming it does," he says drawing me close and I rested my face on his chest. "You better be," I respond. "Mkhize junior only reacts to you, uyazi nawe," he says and I laugh. "Ngiyazi ungaphinde umthathephi omunye omuhle njengami. And in any case he belongs to me," I said and he laughs. "Aibo what's with all this possessiveness?" he asked sounding amused. "Haibo possessive yani, is he not mine? Usho Khabazela uma sekukhona omunye onendawo in your heart. I won't hesitate to leave nomntanam siyohlala noMark," I said jokingly and I felt him stiffen. He flipped us over with him on top of me. "Haibo uphambene, did I say anything about another woman?" he asked pissed. I could barely breathe as I could feel his erection pressing in to my stomach. "Aibo kanti ngigedwa apha? Thetha mfazi," he said breathing heavily. "Ngiyaxolisa Khabazela, I was just joking," I said and he smiled rolling off me. He laid down and pulled me onto his chest before kissing my forehead. "Oh and you better stay away from that Mike boy, or else igazi lakhe will be on your hands," he said. Haibo, lendoda did not just threaten me. "Haibo Khabazela ubani uMike? Igama lakhe uMark," I said teasingly. "I don't care whether his name is Mark, Luke, Petru noma uJudas. Ngithe stay away from him, unesibindi sokuzokhuluma ngenye indoda phambi kwami," he said but I could tell he wasn't angry and I laughed. He kissed my forehead again and did he not brazenly brush my nipples! They immediately strained against my shirt and kissed my neck, I had to fight every atom in my body to stop from moaning. "Aibo Khabazela we are at your parents," I said panting. "So, ungumkami I can even fuck you outside if I wanted to," he said. His voice was hoarse and child I needed a change of panties. "Aibo I will not have sex under your parents roof, and plus I'm going to abstain for the next six months-" I started before he cut me off. "Six months? Aibo I have been starving for 2 years and you tell me I have to wait for six months. Uphambene mfazi?" he demanded and I almost laughed. "Yes, if you could do it for 2 years, six months amanzi amancane," I said smiling. "Mhmm sizobona how far you'll get with your six months bullshit," he said and I had to bite my lip to stop myself from bursting out laughing. "Ngiyakuthanda MaMoloi, noma uhlanya ungitshela ngosix months; ngiyakuthanda," he said and my heart warmed. "I know, nami ngiyazithanda," I said jokingly and he flipped us over again and started tickling me. I could barely breathe and I was crying. "S-s-sto-p-p o-kka-y I-i l-l-ove yo-uu to-oo," I said in between tears and he stopped and smiled at me. He leaned down and kissed me; and lord I needed new pajama pants. The kiss went on for for a very long time it was sweet, gentle yet filled with so many emotions. He pulled away and I gasped for air; he laid down and pulled me against him. "Good night rato laka," he said and I smiled.
