"This baby needs to calm the fuck down, I am not a playground," I complained as we walked out of the mall. "Is it kicking?" Tshego asked. "No, it's just moving around," I said and sighed. "Thank you for today, Kea," he said and I smiled. "Anytime," I said. We had finally chosen ring after an hour of browsing and me convincing Tshego to let me pay for half the ring because it cost an obscene amount of money. It was a silver band with tiny diamond studs that glistened even when not in direct light. After Tshego promised to introduce me to Lorenzo before he proposed we went to feed this loafer that has invaded my body. I'm only 16 weeks pregnant but I'm already tired, one thing's for sure: I'm never having sex again. Lol, as if Andile would agree, but he's never experienced pregnancy before so he would be the one to talk. We caught up over lunch and he told me about how he planned to propose; my brother has grown up so much! "O holile joale moshemane. You must bring Lorenzo home ke tla mo ruta ho etsa mahleu," I said as we walked out of the mall and Tshego laughed. "I can just imagine-" he started saying but stopped as I heard something whiz past me. Tshego gasped as his shirt turned red. I barely had time to react when I felt searing pain in my stomach. There were shouts and the screeching of tires as more guns went off. The pain in my stomach was excruciating and my knees buckled. Someone knocked against me, and I hit the ground hard, sending all sharp of pain to my head. My vision blurred and I wanted to scream for Tshego as he lay there clutching his chest. "I... love.. y-" he croaked before everything went black.
