Keabetswe

Come downstairs, I'm here.
That's what he sent me. The least he could have done was come get me. My bags were all already in the car so I just grabbed my handbag and left. I haven't seen the outside of this penthouse since I arrived and I swear it looks different. I greet security and they walk me to the elevator and get in. I can't help but notice they stand a lot closer to me with one of them covering all four of my sides. Andile's car is the only one here and he hangs up the call he was on when he sees me. He's holding a massive bouquet of flowers and gets off the bonnet of the car and comes closer. "Hi," I said taking the flowers. "Hi," he said and pulled me by the waist. He kissed me before pulling away. "Masambe," he said opening the car door for me. It felt really good to be going home. I looked out the window as he furiously types something on his phone. His hand gently rubs my thigh and I can't help but smile. My heart swells as we approach the house gates, I missed this place. Andile opens the door for me and I step out. "Are the kids home?" I asked as we walked to the door. "I don't think so," he said as he held the door open for me, oh well. "SURPRISE!". I jump as balloons start falling on me and they all laugh. "Oh you guys," I said, clutching my chest. "MOMMY!" my kids screech as thy run towards me. They knock the air out of me as they throw themselves at me. "We missed you mommy," Naye says and I feel tears well up in my eyes. "I missed you guys too," I said kissing their foreheads. "Oh my God, you're so freaking tall," I said to the man who is now passing off as my son. Siyamthanda laughed, a deep throaty laugh. Oh Lord, I've missed so much. "Nathi sikhona, hawu," Sethu whines and I roll my eyes. "Hi guys," I said walking towards all of them. The kids almost knock me to the floor as they race past me to the living room. I did not miss this. I gave them all hugs, the guys included - man I'm so loved. "It's good to have you back, sis' wami," Sandile said as he hugged me. "It's good to be back," I said smiling. "Have I missed the big moment?" Lubanzi asked walking in. "Of course you did, comes with being an idiot," I said walking towards him. "I thought I'd try to be you for a day," he said smiling. "You're so stupid," I said hugging him. "I missed you," he said softly as he hugged me. "I know, I have that effect on people," I replied and he let me go. "Still obnoxious I see," he observed. "Still insufferable I see," I retorted and he rolled his eyes. "Ukhalelani manje? Please ask your husband for assistance I'm not good at this emotion stuff," he said and I sniffled. "Oh my gosh. How does your fiance even deal with you?" I asked laughing and he shrugged. "Alright, senimbonile nonke. Now get out of my house," Andile said. They all ignored him and went towards the dining room chatting away. "They're never going leave, are they?" he asked and I smiled. "Uyabazi nje, it's those hood rat tendencies. They're so hard to let go of," I said and kissed him. "Thank you for making this happen," I said and he smiled. "You're welcome," he said kissing me again. "Are you two going to join us or are you going to give each other more hickeys?" Qhawe asked appearing suddenly. Oh shit. I blushed as I tried to cover my neck with my hand and the two idiots laughed at me. Has everyone seen this? Qhawe nodded at Andile- a nod that seemed to mean a lot but I wasn't going to ask- and left. "I need to go hide these," I said trying to get out of Andile's grip. "Why?" he asked. "I can't have everyone knowing I had sex," I hissed lowly. "Why? They already know you do. Where else would Naye have come from?" he asked. "You're being really stupid right n-" I started but Amanda's shrill voice cut me off. "KEABETSWE SILAMBILE!". I certainly did not miss this. "Hey, where's Lorenzo?" I asked Andile as we walked to the dining room. "He went back to Ethiopia. He said I should tell you he's sorry he wasn't here, but he'd be back soon," he said and I nodded. "And, he taught Siyamthanda how to play the piano," he said. "Where did they get a piano from?" I asked. "Nginemali mina MaMoloi, ngeke ngihlulwe ukuthenga into engakhulumi," he replied and I rolled my eyes. Idiot.
