Learning to love

TAE 

"Shh Venice, it's time to sleep," I say to the baby in my arms who has been crying for more than an hour. 

I was in Vegas's house for a few days, this because I was taking care of Venice but also of him, considering that he had just gone through a rather dangerous operation, but also because I was hiding from Time, who was constantly calling me. A week after that incident at the beach house, I caught him cheating again, so I chose to give him the slippers, even though I was ignoring my family's word and his. I knew that now he was desperate to reconcile, probably his father had started a new argument, but at the moment I didn't care, I was too hurt and had been through so many times, over so many arguments. I smile and put Venice down, as soon as I realize that he has fallen asleep and after making sure that everything is in order, I go to Vegas' office to make sure that he has taken his pills. It was very late, and I was tired, not because I was taking care of Venice, but because I managed to fall asleep, Venice, it was a delight. I opened the door slowly, so as not to interrupt Vegas, I knew that today he had several business meetings via Skype because his hand was still in a cast, but luckily, I escaped in time, that's because he threw with a vase, this hitting the wall, turning into dust.

"Vegas?" I ask as I run towards him, seeing him on the ground.

"Tae, please leave me alone." He tells me that both anger and pain were visible in his eyes, and he was like that only because of one person, that is Pete.

"Tell me what happened?" I said, pretending not to hear his plea, I wasn't going to do it, to leave him alone.

Me and Vegas have become closer in the last few days, mostly because we were working on a project together or actually, to put it that way, Vegas used his connections to help me organize a fundraiser for certain fashion designers not very well-known, their outfits were the ones that were going to be exhibited at the fundraiser and to be auctioned, and that was going to be in a few days.

"That happened," he says and points to the huge screen on the desk, where there was a big picture of Pete and his new "girlfriend", who was apparently the daughter of a member of parliament from our country, the black sheep of their family, but what was even worse, there was a picture of Pete and that girl, having sex in the back of a club. The picture was very detailed and somehow, I felt my blood boil when I thought that I had seen such scenes many times, only that it was Time instead of Pete. " It hurts." he says in a whisper.

"Vegas, you have to recover, I won't let you fall." I tell him and in a moment of anger, I smash the computer screen on the floor, breaking it into pieces. "I won't let you fall into the abyss again; I've already gotten used to the new Vegas and I don't want to lose it."

I don't know why, but in a fit of nerves, I sat on Vegas's lap, who was still crying a little, and I pulled him into a bear hug, letting him unload and get rid of the negative feelings that possessed him.

VEGAS

Tae held me tight in his arms, caressing my back and letting me unload, because at that moment my only feelings were those of fury and murder, I really wanted to kill the whore that Pete was with shoot in public places. What bothered me or hurt me the most was the fact that Pete never allowed himself to be convinced by me to make love, because there was love between us, in such public places, instead with his whore, he doesn't care.

"What the hell is going on here?" I hear Time's angry voice and as soon as I raise my head, I meet his angry look.

"What are you doing here Time?"

"I asked you a question Tae, answer me."

"I give peace to my lover," Tae tells him and I try to keep calm, I really didn't want him to get involved in their relationship, especially since I knew that Time was the type who, even in a relationship, he kept walking from flower to flower, like a bee.
