Being drunk is the last thing Allen wants to do, but because of a heartbreak he was able to do so. He woke up with a tremendous headache. Ang ipinagpapasalamat na nga lang niya ay kahit malasing siya ng sobra ay naaalala pa niya ang mga ginawa bago ma-knocked out.
He looks around in the room he is in. The room motif is red and black. There was no window around that he found weird. The room is simple, it has a bed, closet and looks like there is a bathroom also. The light was turned on that lit up the whole room. Napatungo at napahawak si Allen ng muling umataki ang matinding sakit ng ulo. He heard the sound of footsteps coming. A soft voice made him still for a second.
"Hi good morning. Drink this para mawala ang sakit ng ulo mo." Awkward na sabi ng babae sa kaniya.
Mukhang nahihiya at naiilang ito marahil sa nangyaring halik sa pagitan nila noon. Kagabi din ay niyakap niya sa pagtulog ang dalaga. Kung ano anong pinaggagawa niya. Nakakahiya! Inabot niya at ininom ang gamot na ibinigay nito sa kaniya. He was so miserable last night and this woman in front of him was an angel. The comfort and care that she gives, make him fine for now. She never left him last night and let him cry.
Kung sa ibang lalaki never umiyak sa harap ng mga babae pero siya ay walang pakundangan. Crying is not a form of weakness, it is strength to accept the fact that we are not fine and in pain. He just cry it all last night so that he will be fine at the next day. He promise to himself that he will try to move forward and move on from Stacy. He do his best and part to their relationship kaya wala siyang pagsisisihan. No one deserve to be hurt and be cheated on.
Noong una hindi niya matanggap na wala na sila ni Stacy dahil naghiwalay sila ng walang malinaw na dahilan. She just decided to cut him off to her life. Kaya ng madiskubre niya na nagtaksil ito ay buo na ang loob niyang tapusin ang lahat. Mahirap man dahil sampung taon ang pinagsamahan nila ay di hahadlang iyon para magpatuloy siya.
Pagka-inom ng gamot ay tumingin siya sa dalaga upang magpasalamat. "Magandang umaga din at maraming salamat. I know you took good care of me last night." Nakangiting sabi niya.
Napakabuti nito sa kaniya hindi niya alam kung paano babawi dito. Last time he already make a mistake to her. He took her first kiss just because it is a dare ng mga baliw niyang kaibigan. Natatakot tuloy siyang makita na magalit ito sa kaniya. Umiwas ng tingin ang babae sa kaniya na nagpakunot sa noo niya. Is there something wrong at his face? He feel insecure for a while. Naalala niyang wala pa siyang ligo at amoy alak siya. Nakakahiya naman sa babae ang ganda ganda nito samantalang mukha siyang ewan.
"Hhhmm. A-ano mag-ayos ka na, bumili ako ng breakfast. Kumain ka muna bago umalis. Sundan mo na lang ako sa opisina ko kung tapos ka na, doon na lang kita hihintayin." The woman stutter a little then left the room in a hurry. Napahilamos nalang tuloy siya sa mukha. Ang pangit niya siguro kaya nagmamadaling umalis ito.
Allen fixed the bed that he used then went to the bathroom. The bathroom is also simple but spacious. He washed his face and used the toothbrush na nasa plastic pa. Mukhang bagong bili lamang iyon dahil nasa lalagyan pa. He decided to take a shower and just used the clothes he removed. He used the woman's shampoo, it smelled like strawberry.
Pinatuyo niya ng maayos ang katawan pati ang buhok at sinuklay ito gamit ang sariling daliri. It is a mess but he looks fine than before. Napansin din niya na iba ang pang-itaas na damit an isinuot. He feel embarrassed to think na pinalitan siya ng babae kagabi. Sinigurado niya na mukha siyang presentable kahit papaano. Nagmadali na din siya sa pagkilos at ayaw niyang paghintayin ito ng matagal. Pagkalabas sa kwarto a large office came into his view. It was different to the room.
Her office has a table where to work, and shelves full of different types of wines. The coffee table and couch is in the middle where guest can seat. There was also painting in the walls and pictures. A clock was hanging in the wall and it is already nine in the morning. Like the room there was also no window around. He sit beside her and introduce himself. They already kiss and sleep in the same bed pero di pa sila magkakilala.
"Hi I am Allen Roces. I am so sorry for not introducing myself last time. Sorry din sa abala na nadulot ko sayo." Hinging paumanhin niya at sinserong ngumiti.
"Wala lang yon. Huwag kang mag-alala di ka naman naging abala sa akin. Nice to meet you Allen, I am Hendrina Caberro the owner of this club." She politely replied back and asked for a shake hand na tinanggap naman niya. "Hmm so paano kain na tayo?" Alok ni Hendrina.
Masayang tumango si Allen at humigop sa soup na nakahain. Saktong-sakto upang mabawasan ang hangover niya. They both eat with silence. It is a silence that is peaceful with no awkwardness. As they continue eating the silence was broken with the sound of ringtone.
"Excuse me!" Hendrina said and answered her phone.
"Yes Friel. Do you still need something?"
"W-what? Nababaliw ka na talaga! Ibaba ko na itong phone. Bye!" Nginitian siya ng babae habang namumula ang mukha.
"Hahahahaha pasensya ka na. Sige kain ka na ulit." She said then put her hair behind her ears na humara sa kaniyang mukha. Parang hindi din ito mapakali at mukhang nahihiya.
"Thank you for being generous but I'm done."
"Ahh ganon ba? Hmm aalis ka na ba halika ihahatid na kita sa labas." Tumayo na si Hendrina kaya wala na siyang nagawa kundi ang sumunod dito. She opened the door and a short narrow space ang bumungad sa kanila. It is not dark because of the lights. They walk a little and there's a stair. He was so amazed knowing that her office is underground. That explains why there is no window in her room and office.
"Woaahh, your office is underground. What makes you think about this idea?" He curiously asked habang papalabas sila ng club.
"Well it just happened. I may tell you the story about this next time. If we could see each other again." Natatawang tugon nito na para bang may naalala.
"Then we should meet again. Tomorrow night can I ask you out for dinner? You were so nice to me last night. Kung sa iba iyon baka pinabayaan nalang ako. Gusto kong bumawi sayo." Determinado niyang sabi.
"Okay lang naman sa akin kung hindi ka bumawi. But if you're really persistent then it is my pleasure to dine with you Allen." A kind smile was given to him.
"Thank you so much Drina! Nice meeting you and see you tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to our dinner. I'll pick you up here by 6 in the evening. Okay?"
Isang mabining tango ang isinagot ni Hendrina. A happiness flickered to her eyes when I called her Drina. He guesses that she likes being called that way. He gently waved to her ng makasakay siya sa kanyang kotse. He left the Caberro club looking at the side mirror.
He watched Hendrina till he no longer saw her because of the further distance. Habang nagmamaneho Hendrina's face appeared to his head. Her sweet smile that can calm him down, those twinkling eyes, her gorgeous face and her brown hair. Halos kapusin siya ng hininga ng maalala ang babae. He was so enchanted with her. I guess meeting her again wouldn't be bad after all.
