(Edit from future me: Now rewatching series 1 I realise that they didn't actually sleep before going after Delilah and Sylas so we are just going to pretend that they did)

You and the rest of the group settled down and got into an uneasy sleep. It made sense considering that everyone had to fight some zombies about an hour before sleeping.

(Edit from future me 2: I now realise they literally only just got up before fighting)

It was the next morning and you got up just before the rest of the group. Well, you thought. Because no one else was awake at the time, you decided to walk a bit more into the forest and look for animals. You ended up finding a few small rabbits and that same deer from yesterday.

You sat for a while with them just talking and eventually ended up meeting a few more animals. A rustling sound from behind startled you but you just thought it was another creature.

'Hello.'

'Ah! Oh hi, sorry thought you were someone else.' you say as you put your staff back down. You had picked it up as a reflex when you got scared.

Vax replies with, 'It's fine, just try not to take my head off next time.'

'I hope there won't be a 'next time'.' You really didn't want to be responsible for an injury of another person on your first day with the group.

He sat down and started to talk with you about what your tribe was like and he also explained the group a bit more. After your short conversation with Vex at the first meeting, Scanlan had insisted to sing you a song about who was who and what they do. This just ended up confusing you more.

After a while of talking, Vax got up to leave and go back to the group to see if any of them had woken up yet. You went back a few minutes later to see the group, mainly to check on Vax.

You saw him sat with Grog and Vex talking about something you couldn't quite hear. So, as the normal person you are, you sat just close enough to hear what they were saying but not too close that it would be obvious you were listening.

You regretted that decision less than 5 seconds in. They were talking about the past battles they had taken part in the previous few days. This terrified you as you knew that if you joined the group, that same thing would involve you.

The next hour played out fairly normally, along with the odd conversation with Keyleth or Vax but mainly just meetings or planning out a few days in advance. For the most of it you silently thought about what your decision would be, stay with the group or go with the tribe.

You did not come to a conclusion to this but there seemed to be more pro's for staying with the group. You just found the tribe quite demanding, controlling and boring. You wanted to see the world not be cooped up in a small forest the rest of your life.

(A/N, I am starting to get back into writing as I have found a way to speed things up. This may mean that the book will be updated more frequently but I can't promise anything)
