(Tuesday- 2nd day of tryouts)
I really hope Matt doesn't show up today because he will definitely distract me. I head to the gym and it's as if God answered my prayers because he's not there.

He stared at me today in every class. At lunch he sat by me and started up conversation, but I was not going to give in. I saw him kiss like 3 different girls today. Manwhore.

Mak got sick at school so she won't be at practice which means I have to walk home. I head the locker room and when we are done getting dressed coach tells us after today we will have first cuts and the final decision will be made after Wednesday.

We are gonna scrimmage again today and I'm a team-captain. My team ends up winning then we just do some drills. After that coach tells us to come back by at 8:00 to see if we made first cuts.

I head out and get ready to start walking. I live kinda far so I'm about to call Jackson when a familiar car pulls up. It's Matt. He rolls down his window and says "hop in, I'll drive you home"

"No thanks I'll just get my brother to take me" I reply as politely as possible. I don't think I could handle being alone with him.

"C'mon I don't bite" he says. I decide to just get in because it's better than walking. It's silent and he says "I'm sorry we got off to a rough start, could you give me a second chance? I really like you and I'm willing to not be a player and kiss every girl I see. There is something different about you than other girls and I'm really sorry for coming off as such a douche."

He actually sounds sincere. "I'd like that" I reply. When we get to my house he asks for my number so I give it to him. Maybe Matt isn't as bad as I thought.

At 7:50 I decide to go check the first cuts. Jackson drives me. I see a few girls crying and some jumping up and down. I get up and check the list. I scan the list and I made it!!! It also had who made varsity cuts because the 12th graders have been trying out this week also.

I congratulate some other girls before heading home, as I'm walking to the car I see Matt making out with some random girl. He sees me staring and I just roll my eyes. I knew it was too good to be true. I shouldn't have believed all that starting over shit.

I get home and I have like 50 texts from Matt. I ignore them all and shower. I think I know what to do to get back at Matt. If he can lead me on then drop me, I'll do the same. I get to sleep thinking of how to get back at him.

When I wake up I decide on my outfit. It's got to look hot. I decide to completely ignore dress code. I get some dark high wasted shorts and I grey v-neck crop top that shows off my somewhat toned stomach thanks to volleyball this past week, and some cleavage. I put my hair in loose curls and put on some combat boots and bright red lipstick.

I catch a ride with Mak today, but I've already told her about my plan. When we get to school Matt is in his usual corner with the latest skank. He doesn't see me yet.

When the bell rings and I get to class a little late on purpose. The teacher didn't notice, but Matt did, just as I'd hoped. We looks up and his mouth drops. He quickly recovers and wink at me. When I walk by he "drops" his pen. He is about to lean over and pick it up, but I get to it first.

I lean down to give it back, showing cleavage and I can tell he notices. I whisper "meet me in the janitors closet during lunch." He nods. Of course I'm not really going to meet him there, not after what he did.

(A/n I have over 300 reads! Sorry for grammar mistakes. I've been reading Jack Gilinsky fan fictions and accidentally wrote his name instead of Matt's like 3 times so I had to fix it 😂)
