"That was a nice stunt you pulled yesterday" he whispered in my ear as we sat it the very back of the bus.
I couldn't help but notice the butterflies in my stomach when his hot minty breath touched my neck. "What are you talking about?" I ask innocently.
"Babe, playing hard to get isn't getting you anywhere." Wow, he is such a douche. This is going to be a long day.
I get home and FaceTime an old friend, someone I met on a summer vacation in Las Vegas, Brendan Jordan. I met him and we clicked instantly, mostly because he taught me how to do winged eyeliner. I haven't talked to him in forever. We talk about everything and I even tell him about Matt. He said he sounded familiar, like from vine or something. I'm not big on social media, I used to make dancing vines though and I've done some vines with famous viners, like when I was in Omaha, Nebraska, my brother became good friends with Jack & Jack, and I think I remember seeing Matt on vine.
(A/n I'm going to be writing about magcon and some people I put in there might not really have been in it, I know this. Also I've never been but I'll do my best, and I know magcon ended but it's starting back up again even though Matt won't attend, he will in this book. Okay continue reading this chapter.)
Brendan says he's going on a tour called Magcon and the management saw my dancing videos and were interested. He does his best to explain the whole thing, but it all goes over my head. He says I should come visit for fall break.
I decide to shower before bed and after that I soon fall asleep thinking about what Brendan said. Will they ask me to join Magcon? I hear Adolyn start to cry and decide to go get her to quiet down to give mom a break. This weekend I have to babysit Adolyn and Carter and Phillip because mom is taking Jackson to basketball camp. But she told me she's taking the whole family to the first football game of the season. I think it's weird, because she's not big on sporting events, especially since Adolyn was born.
***Friday at the football game***
My family walks in and me and Jackson go sit in the student section. After the first half we are up by 6. I decide to get nachos from the concession stands during the halftime performance. Right before the band plays the announcer comes on
"We have a special surprise for two of our highschool students. Most of you know Jackson and Evelyn Bradley, who recently moved here. Their father is a service man and is here to-"
Before the announcer finishes I turn around towards the field to see my dad standing there in uniform and I run faster than ever to meet him, and I see Jackson doing the same. I can't believe it, it's been so long since I've seen him. I jump into his arms, crying. I've never been so happy.
"I love you so much, Dad" I whisper loud enough for him to hear me. I hear the people on the bleachers applauding, and I have the biggest smile ever. Nothing could possibly ruin my mood!
(A/n finally updated! Ignore grammar I'll fix it later!)
