chapter 13

I'm woken up the next morning to Orion and a girl I've never seen before  arguing. The girl must have gotten here early this morning.

She's really pretty, but has on way to much makeup. I can practically see the outline of her butt pads. I wonder if this is the girl Mahogany and Orion told me about.. It can't be. This girl almost looks old enough to be Orion's mom.

"Oh my god Orion you need to back off Jack Gilinsky is mine." The girl barks.

"I don't even like him like that, we are just friends, Madison." Orion explains.

"Whatever" The girl nasally replies. And struts downstairs.

Orion notices I'm awake. "Sorry you had to see that." She says.

"It's fine! Was that the girl you and Mahogany were talking about yesterday?" I ask out of curiosity. I'm sure it is. If not then that's just one more mean girl we'll have to put up with.

"Yeah, that's the Madison Beer. When I first met her years ago she was so sweet, then she started getting attention from all the guys. Of course Jack G went after her." She replies with her voice full of sorrow.

Maybe Orion did actually like him. He was hot, heck all of these guys were. It's like they were hand sculpted to perfection. With their perfect jawlines and perfectly tan skin and...

"Eve, did you hear what I just said?" My daydream was interrupted by Orion.

"No, I'm sorry I just zoned out." I replied. She repeated what she said but I barely heard her because the boys had woken up and were making noise downstairs. Something about what she was wearing to our dinner tonight.

This morning we were getting to know each other, so I dressed casual in some leggings and a sweatshirt. I threw on my glasses and obviously didn't bother with any makeup. It turns out there is only us four girls.

Mahogany and Orion had the same idea I had, dressing similar to me. Madison had decided on some designer skirt and top with heels that look to be six inches tall. Also she had put on lots of makeup.

When we walk downstairs the first guy to notice us is Cameron. "Hello ladies" he smoothly says, winking at me. We respond with a quick hello before sitting down.

As Mahogany, Orion and I sit down Madison takes a seat in Jack G's lap. Ok.

Bart says there is only one more guest to arrive and I immediately know it's Brendan. Minutes later the queen arrives. "EVELYN YOU LOOK SO MUCH BETTER THAN YOU DID WHEN I LAST SAW YOU. PUBERTY HAS DONE SO WELL." He practically screams.

"It's so good to see you!!" I say while running up to hug him. 

"You know each other?" Matt asks.

"Yeah we met ages ago." Brendon says.

"Well now that everyone on is here we will go around the room and you will say your full name, age, and how many siblings you have." Bart says.

"This is lame, Bart. What kind of icebreaker is this? We aren't in first grade" A guy with perfect blue eyes says.

"Shut up, Nash" Bart snapped at the boy. "You get to go first."

Nash rolled his eyes but spoke. " I'm Nash Grier, I'm almost 18, and I have an older brother names Will, a younger half sister named Skylynn and you all know my younger brother Hayes." Nash dramatically huffs and everyone turns their attention to "Hayes." He look about 16 but his eyes proved that they are brothers.

Next is Matthew. "I'm Matt, I just turned 18 and I have a sister." That was blunt.

Madison tells us she's 16 and has a brother. Shawn has a sister and so does Cameron. Jack G has a couple of sisters, but I already knew that. There are a few people who are only childs, which in my opinion would suck. I guess it's cool they have this opportunity.

The game goes around the room until it gets to me. "My name is Eve Bradley, I'm 15 and I have an older brother named Jackson, younger twin brothers named Carter and Phillip, and a baby sister named Adolyn." I smile when I'm done.

Soon everyone is finished and I learned a lot about the people I'm spending my summer with. Bart tell us to get ready for our fancy dinner out. He tells us the dress code is strict, dresses for girls and dress suits for the guys.

The girls head to change. I put on a black, long sleeved dress that is kinda tight on my hips and reaches about three inches above my knee. I put on some heels and I'm ready, until Mahogany and Orion stop me.

"No make up?" Orion question.

"It's not really my thing." I awkwardly say.

"Girl I can make you look hot. Let me do it for you." Orion offers. I give in, but tell her to not overdue it. I see Mahagony straightening her red curls and ask her to do mine. She happily obliges. I haven't gotten this dressed up in awhile. When they are done I hardly recognize myself. Even Madison looks shocked.

All the girls head downstairs and the guys instantly look at us. They all look so good. I glance around and almost catch myself drooling. I catch Matt and Cameron both stop their conversation and look at me, their eyes raking over my body.

I see Jack G look at Orion, but madison quickly notices and is by his side in a matter of seconds, and starts to chat his ear off.

Soon everyone is ready and we head off the bus. I hope this goes smoothly...
