1: The Start of A Hero

3rd person pov:

A child longing for his father's effection tries to gain control of his quirk to become a hero. Only for his flames to consume him.

Endeavor runs to Sekoto peak to see touya train. Only to pat the flames out.

Enji:"That's enough for today. Rest is important aswell."

Touya looks up with tears in his eyes.

Tou:"At this rate though. I'll never become a hero."

Enji:"Give me some time to do some research on how to help with your quirks drawbacks. For now let's get you to the hospital to treat those burns."

As enji holds his son. Who's trying not to cry. They take the car to a tiny hospital that's nearby. It's only four stories tall and in downtown between two businesses. It's a burn center and hospital for new nothers.

As enji takes touya inside. He sees a woman in a wheelchair who's screaming. As she's in labor. She's being lead to the basement for surgery. As the doctor gets ready.

Touya walks over to hold her hand and give words of encouragement to her before his treatment.

Tou:"You'll be in good hands ma'am. I can tell that you'll be a fantastic mom."

Enji:"Sorry about that. My son tries to help everyone."

"He'll be an amazing hero when he grows up. Just be sure to keep the spark going."

Touya nods and offers his fist to bump. As she's being rolled away.  She bumps his fist and smiles.

That's when a nurse takes touya upstairs for treatment while enji heads to work.

Since they've been to this hospital many times. Enji trusts the staff to take care of touya until he finishes one round of patrols.

As touya gets his injection of antibiotics and is wiped off to prevent bacteria from getting under the new skin on his arms, neck, and chest. Touya smiles through the pain as the new skin is sprayed on. Then he's bandaged up.

Nurse:"There, now remember for the next three days. No showers. Only sponge baths with taps over the wounds until they heal."

Tou:"Yes ma'am. Before you leave. I gotta know. Is there anything I could do to stop my quirk from burning me?"

Nurse:"Look into support items. I'm sure something can be built to help."

As the nurse walks out of the room. The building shakes violently. Only to stop moments later.

Tou:"Earthquake?"

Then, the  shaking gets worse as cracks grow on the walls. As the nurse turns around to get touya. The floor collapses, and they fall through the floors below.

When touya opens his eyes. It's dusty and dark. So he uses his what he knows to help.

*sniff sniff.*

Tou:^No gas leak. Now I can assist. However, there's a strong flower smell in the air.^

Touya listens for any signs of life. Using his quirk to light the tip of his index finger. Touya climbs through the rubell to help. Once he finds someone. He begins to pull them out and to an opening in the wall. As people climb out. Touya flash fires the top of the rubell above them. Turning it to ash. Then when he touches another piece. He lifts it up to burn it away. Making sure that it doesn't crush anyone any further.

During the search. Touya finds a tree in the middle of the mess that's saved people from the weight of the building when it collapsed. So touya leaves it alone and helps others get out.

When he steps out with a nurse on his back. The news wishes to speak with him. Only for enji to pick touya up in a hug.

Enji:"Thank goodness you're alright. I was so worried when I heard. So I rushed back to help.

Then enji sees further burns on Touya's arms and legs. That's when touya gets light headed.

Tou:"I couldn't find her.... please help her-"

Touya passes out. So enji gets help. As equipment is pulled out to save. Nurses help treat touya to get him stable enough for transfer. The reporters watch as Touya's treated. Then they move aside for the hero commissioner.

Com:"We'll take him from here. Consider this an investment in his hero career.

Enji nods and follows them to a private hospital. Where touya gets surgery to change his life forever.
