"Up! Up now girls, all of you." God how I hate hearing that voice. I stir under my sheets and turn, flinging the blanket back over my head to get away from that awful womens voice. Unfortunately for me she hadn't left the room yet and in the next moment my blanket is being ripped from my body, leaving me exposed to the cold morning air. "I said up, Valerarian." I huff and reluctantly rise from my bed. I roll my eyes once I'm past her wickedness and make my way to the washroom to get ready for the day. I am brushing out my hair which is now dyed a raven black, when one of my roommates Ruby walks in. "Ah jeez I cannot stand that miserable woman, like if you hate kids so much why become a headmistress." I watch her with eyes half open struggling to wake up herself, as she complains about our unfriendly headmistress. Ms.Willis has had it out for our group from day one and none of us know why. Speaking of our group, Millie and Cassandra walk in next after being forced out of their beds as well. "That bitch." Cassandra whines while wrinkling her nose and walking past to kiss me on the cheek. "Hurry up girls! This isn't a beauty contest, this is school." All four of us make a scene of either flicking her off from behind the door or glaring with our tongues out. Soon after we hear her receding footsteps, we finally start to prepare ourselves for the day. Once we all are finished with our hair and makeup in the bathroom, we make our way to our rooms to put our uniforms on. God how I hate this thing. It's not like the skirt is horribly long or that the colours are unmatched, It's the fact that everyone is matching. We all wear a white pleated skirt with a white blouse and black scarves. How is a girl supposed to show her true personality if she cant even throw on something hot. All of us try though. And today I throw on some fishnets, hike up my skirt to make it shorter and leave a few buttons undone at the top of my shirt. I pair it with the white prada boots I got for my last birthday and throw on some jewelry to finish the look. I leave my room and look back at my friends once I'm dressed and take in all their completely unique takes on the uniform. Cassandra has also pulled her skirt to make it higher and she's rolled the top, so it's tighter around her waist. She ties her shirt so it's cropped and leaves an alarming amount of buttons unclipped, and ties the whole look together with black closed toed heel boots. Cassandra is the so-called 'hoe' of our group, but everyone loves her regardless. She was my first friend here and I couldn't be more grateful to her for helping me look hot back in first year. My eyes then travel to Millie. She leaves her skirt sitting just past her knees and wears her shirt completely open with a black tank under it. She wears a thigh garter and black combat boots, Lastly I land on Ruby. She wears her uniform as it's supposed to be put on, but she decorates it with thick layered necklaces and rings that go on every finger, as well as pink platformed runners. Despite keeping her uniform the same, her fiery red hair makes her look so badass today. Ruby was the last to join our group and she is the most unwilling to change her uniform for fear of getting dress-coded and kicked out of school. We all step out of our dorm room and make our way to our first class. As we walk the hallways everyone turns their head in our direction. It is a daily thing for the girls of our school to watch us, they either want to be us or friends with us. If this wasn't an all girls school I'm sure some boys would get hard ons from us passing. I smile at the thought before wiping it from my face when one of the teachers calls out to us. Fuck. We turn our heads anticipating the stern talking to we are bound to get, when my smile returns. It's just Miss Lawson, my favourite teacher in this hell hole. She never dress codes us because she says us girls need to express our individuality, and it's not harming anyone or their learning. She briefly greets us and wishes us a good day while continuing to walk to teach her class. A few minutes later we get to our own class and the day seems to fly by in a blur. The only time I break out of my bored stupor is when my third period teacher mentions the carnival we will be having tomorrow night. The whole school has been rumbling about the carnival for weeks now. The carnival is the one place where the all boys school can come and spend time with us. Most girls use to opportunity to have sex but the intended purpose was to make each school feel like we were getting the real school experience, by playing fair games with the opposite school. I tune back into what the teacher is saying and get more excited when she announces that the camping trip that follows the carnival will be with the all boys school this year. The class whoops and yells as I look over at Ruby, we will get to see the other half of our group tomorrow and for a whole week! We originally met the boys our second year when the school proposed this idea for the first time. Since then the eight of us have been all but inseparable. The class ends and the buzz about the carnival is still living. Another bonus is that for the whole week it is not required to wear uniform, and all the girls can be heard talking about possible outfits to wear. The class shuffles out of the room while me and Ruby meet up with Cassandra and Millie where we make our way to our dorm to change and head to the mall.
