"Rickie will you be helpful, jeez this is your shit too!" Millie huffs and continues trying to push the suitcases into the bottom of the bus. "Cmon put those muscles to work Mill's, I'm really helping you here." Rickie says. "I mean you're doing great!" Millie glares at him before dropping the suitcase and walking over to him. She huffs and grabs him by the ear to drag him to the bus. "Ow ow ok, ok. Damn no need for violence." Rickie rubs his ear before grabbing the suitcases and fitting them into the bottom and closing it. "See easy." Rickie says and Millie looks like she's about to murder him. "Peace you two, or we'll make you sit together the entire bus ride." Maleek threatens, which has them both relenting and behaving. We climb on the bus and get comfortable in our seats that we will be in for the next few hours. I decided to sit in the isle so I could have both Kade and Maleek next to me. Me and Maleek share earbuds across the isle and Kade plays with my fingers beside me. Kade has had a sad face since we got on the bus and I decide to finally question him on it. "What's wrong babe?" He looks at me through his lashes and takes a deep breath before answering. "Nothing, just.. when this bus stops we will have only three hours left together." My chest clenches at the thought and it doesn't take long for my face to match his. I don't answer but instead feel tears silently falling down my face. I don't know why I'm crying to be honest, I'll see him and all the boys in just two weeks but spending even that small amount of time apart seems like torture. I don't know how long I get lost in thought about being forced to be away from him, when I get pulled out of it by Kades fingers lightly brushing the tears from my cheeks. "Shh baby, it's ok. It's ok. I'm sorry I didn't mean to upset you" He coos into my ear as he pulls my head to rest on his chest. I relax into his embrace and wipe my own tears. "I'm sorry it's ridiculous to cry but I just don't want to spend any amount of time away from you Kade." He kisses my forehead and rubs the side of my face. "I know baby. But it's ok, just think of all the time together we will have once we move in. Trust and believe you'll get sick of me after a few months of sharing a space." He chuckles lowly and I give a small smile in return. I try to compose myself when I see the rest of my friends watching with concern and sadness etched on their own faces. I'll be ok, sure it will suck immensely but I'll survive and then get to live with him and the rest of the boys. I just need to get through the two weeks and enjoy these last few hours with everyone. We make it to the halfway stop point and we get out to grab some snacks before hopping back into the bus and driving the rest of the way to campus. Two hours later we're unloading our bags and heading over to our dorm.
