Final Fantasy

Part 19

I wake before Kade once again and having learned from my mistake I don't move this time. I play with his hair and draw circles on his bare back, and just enjoy his warmth and weight on me. He snores lightly and I'm so glad he's able to get some sleep. I'm honestly worried for when he leaves because he can only properly sleep with me beside him, and I know he won't get the same rest when he's back at school. I play with the chain around his neck and smile that he loved it as much as he did. I lightly trace his face with my finger over his jaw, up his cheek and over his nose. I brush over his eyebrows and paint invisible circles between them. I brush over his eyes and repeat the cycle a few times. "That feels nice." He says with sleep thick in his voice, which startles me because I didn't think he was awake. He keeps his eyes closed and I continue tracing his features without saying a word. I don't know how long we stay like this but his phone starts buzzing on the nightstand beside us and ruins our morning mood. He huffs in annoyance and reaches over to answer the call. He briefly looks at the caller Id before answering and his eyes turn dark. "What." He listens to whoever is on the other side and then hangs up as quick as he answered. "Motherfucker." He mutters and rolls off of me. "What's wrong Kade?" I ask sitting up and creasing my forehead in concern. His jaw clenches a few times and he huffs before turning to me. "That was my father. I thought I'd be able to have the day here with you but he wants me back at school immediately. Says I'm to be on the road in two minutes." I pull my legs up to my chest and bite the inside of my mouth. "Ok." I mutter and climb out of bed to walk him out. He throws some clothes on and grabs his suitcase and my hand. We walk to his car and he throws his bags into the back. "I'm sorry he's such an asshole baby, I thought we'd at least spend the day together." I shrug, looking down at the ground and just pull him into a hug. He holds me tightly and lifts me off the ground so I can wrap my legs around him. We hug for a few minutes and then he leads my lips to his for a long kiss. We pull away and I slide back to the ground. "I love you." He says and grabs my hand, pulling it to his mouth and kissing my knuckles. "I love you." I say holding back tears. He gives me one last kiss on my lips and then my forehead before getting into his car and pulling out of the lot. I stand there for a few minutes to wrap my head around the fact he's really gone, and then I head back inside and hop into the shower. When I finish my shower I walk into the kitchen for some breakfast and see Cassandra eating yogurt at the counter. "Hey, good morning babes." She says before taking a sip of her drink. "Good morning Cass, how'd you sleep." She shrugs "eh pretty well, I stayed up late talking to this boy I'm trying to hookup with so I only got a few hours of sleep." I nod while heading to the fridge and press my friend for more information. "And? What came of your all night chat, are you by going to see him?" She rolls her eyes and says "uh no. For one he's extremely sexist and told me I'd be there to pleasure him and whatever he decides to give to me will be enough. He said I'd have to go down on him whenever he asks but I can never ask for him to eat me out. And to top that all off he sent a dick pic. With no warning and he's not working with much." She wiggles her pinky and I laugh with her. "Dodged a bullet then." Her eyes widen and she nods. "What bullet was dodged?" Millie asks while emerging from her room. "Ugh it's not even worth repeating." Cassandra says with a frown. "Morning Mill's." I greet and she blows me a kiss and shutting herself in the bathroom. I sit down with my breakfast and talk to Cassandra and Millie when she walks out. "Hey didn't you have a dance class today?" I nod my head and tell her it's in half an hour. "Ah ok. Is Kade going to stay here or go with you?" She asks. My lips pull down slightly and I tell them he had to leave this morning. I explain how he wanted to say goodbye but it was such a rush he didn't get a chance. Cassandra reaches over and gives my hand a squeeze. "It's ok. I'm happy we had the extra days we had. I'll see him soon." They both nod to comfort me and I excuse myself to my room to get ready for my class. I throw on some shorts a sports bra and a shirt before throwing my hair into a ponytail and picking up my phone. It's been an hour and a half since Kade left and he should be close to his school by now. I decide to call him before my class and he picks up after two rings. "Hi gorgeous." He says and I smile before saying " hi baby. I just wanted to see how your drive is going." I can hear that he's still driving and he says "ah ya I'm about twenty minutes away, but the roads are clear so I will probably get there in ten." I shake my head and go to fill up my bottle. "Don't drive like a madman Kade. It would suck for me to hear you crash." He chuckles and says "your right how rude it would be for me to crash and let you hear it. I'll be safe babe, promise." I laugh quietly and let him know I'm just on my way out to my class, and I'll give him a call later. We say our goodbyes and I hang up and head into the car to head over to the dance studio.
