Dipper and Bill decided to take a walk. The fresh air felt good, despite the stabbing in Dipper's lungs. He thankfully didn't throw up any flowers, Ford had told him he likely wouldn't for a few hours since Ford managed to remove as much flowers possible without doing any surgery.

"How are you feeling Pinetree?" Bill asked as they walked.

"I'm ok...Ford gave me my medicine, so I shouldn't have to worry about collapsing as long as I make sure to keep up on it." Dipper lied.

Bill just nodded.

"So, are you gonna go back to class with me tomorrow?" Bill asked.

"Y-Yeah...sorry about avoiding you..." Dipper said.

"It's ok Pinetree, I understand. But you really had me worried, I thought I had done something wrong." Bill said.

"Sorry." Dipper said again. Bill just laughed.

"Stop apologizing so much Pinetree, it's fine, really." Bill said, "You're talking to me now, that's all that matters."

They continued walking for a while, Bill playing music outloud on his phone, the song being Pain by Three Days Grace. (I know this song is probably about bdsm but it kinda works for hanahaki too if you think about it)

Pain,

Without love,

Pain,

Can't get enough,

Pain,

I like it rough,

Cause I'd rather feel Pain than nothing at all

Dipper was thankful the flowers seemed to have stopped coming up, even if it was only temporary. He almost felt normal again, save for the stabbing in his lungs that were likely thorns.

"Bill?" Dipper suddenly said.

"Yeah Pinetree?" Bill responded, looking over at him as they walked.

"If something were to happen to me...would you miss me?" Dipper asked. Bill stared at Dipper.

"What kind of a question is that!? Of course I'd miss you. What are you talking about Pinetree?" Bill said, worry creeping in his voice.

"Nothing Bill...just promise me something ok?" Dipper began.

"Promise you what?" Bill asked.

"If something does happen to me...promise you'll forget about me yeah? Move on with your life." Dipper finished. Bill was silent for a long time.

Dipper looked over at him and noticed tears gathering in the corners of his eyes.

"Pinetree...how could you ask that of me?" Bill finally said, "If something were to happen to you I'd..."

Bill finally looked over at Dipper.

"Where is this coming from?" Bill asked, "Is it your disease? Is it really that bad?"

Dipper sighed.

"I...I'm fine, I just...want to know that you'll be ok if something does happen to me." Dipper lied. He knew he wouldn't be fine. He knew this disease was going to kill him.

Bill shook his head.

"I'll never ever forget about you Pinetree." Bill said, his eyes more serious than Dipper had ever seen.
