Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Fate Breaker

(Ch. 1) Mystery Dungeons

Eevee leads Sukia through the Thick Wilderness maze. Though Sukia's instincts of her surroundings were sharp, she still ended up getting lost in the lush scenery of the beautiful forest. Eevee caught Sukia staring up at the swaying treetops up above and he tapped her shoulder with a small paw. "Hey, are you listening?"

Sukia finally looked back to the other Pokémon. "Huh? Oh.. sorry about that, it's just that I feel like I haven't seen things like this often. Anyways, what were you saying?" A sparkling gold coin on the ground catches her olive colored eyes and Eevee bounces over to it.

"This is a PokeCoin. You can use it to purchase stuff." Eevee explains while picking it up and putting it in his pouch strapped to his flank. "15PC. Hm." He mumbles to himself meanwhile Sukia follows after him. So it's basically money.. She thinks to herself. "Oh!" Eevee's ears perked up when he sees two berries laying on the ground and he hurries over to them. "An Oran Berry and Rawst Berry!" He takes both and places them in his pouch as well before looking back to Sukia. "There's a bunch of different kinds of berries you can eat that can help you in a Mystery Dungeon. Oran berries replenish your health and Rawst berries heal burns. I used several Rawst berries on you while you were fainted."

Sukia's green eyes narrowed and she grumbled. "I don't know how I feel about you touching me when I'm sleeping..-" Sukia's ears perked with alertness when a rustle in the leaves was heard and then a Pidgey appears around the corner with a fierce cry followed by a Budew.

"That's two aggressive Pokémon! Be careful!" Eevee says as he gets ready for an attack but Sukia had already charged on ahead, making him gasp. "Wait!" But the reckless Vulpix already attacked. As if she already knew how to use moves naturally, Sukia used Ember against the Budew, blowing flames out of her mouth and burning the Budew that cried out. The single attack had enough power behind the flames to defeat the Budew with one move. The Pidgey then flew at Sukia, about to use Tackle. Sukia dodged Pidgey's attack and then she used Spite, making the Pidgey stagger and weaken before Sukia used Ember on it as well, making the Pidgey faint.

"Whoa.. you really are strong!" Eevee says in amazement then looks up at the Vulpix with admiration. "At this rate we'll make it out of this Mystery Dungeon in no time! Lets go!" He then leads the way again through the maze and Sukia follows after him. The two picking up occasional items like Oran berries and PokeCoins every now and again.

"So where're you heading, kid?" Sukia finally asks while looking down at the Eevee.

Eevee had a proud look on his face when he looked back up to her. "The Ultimate Exploration Guild in Vibrant City. They're the biggest Exploration Guild in the world! From scouters to researchers, rescuers, mentors, you name it. They're adventurers who map out the world, seek treasure, and rescue Pokémon in need. They work in teams of three. They're honestly amazing.. I've always wanted to be apart of their Guild."

"They explore the world?" Sukia asks with lifted brows, the Vulpix both surprised and impressed that Eevee has such big dreams.

"Yeah! Do you want to come with me?" Eevee asks cheerfully without any hesitation. Sukia didn't share his cheerfulness however.

"What? That's a sudden, big offer your giving me. You don't even know me, kid, I could be a bad Pokémon. Didn't your mom ever tell you not to talk to strangers? Let alone trust them?" Sukia said in a serious tone, clearly annoyed with his careless behavior.

"If you were a bad Pokémon you would've done something bad. You're helping me through this Mystery Dungeon, Suki, only good Pokémon help others." Eevee gave his simple facts with a shrug of his shoulders as they continued to find their way through the maze.
