(Ch. 4) Unexpected Surprise

CHAPTER FOUR: ZEPHYR

"Good luck out there!" Kai cheers on Team Fate, Team Pursuit, and Team Blitz as they prepare to leave on their new mission to calm the rampaging Zekrom.

Unlike his Karrablast partner, Oliver in front of Team Fate looked concerned. "Please be careful. Zekrom is a legendary Pokémon that's said to be stronger than the three you've already faced! And you've seen what Landorus is capable of..."

"That's why we have other teams going with us. Everything will be alright, Oli." Mikah smiles with reassurance at the Sandile.

Sukia joins Mikah's side, the Vulpix looking grumpy as usual. "Less talk. More walk. Team Blitz already left and I want us to be the first to defeat Zekrom."

Mikah looked at Sukia with surprise. "Really? You seem determined for a hdangerous fight."

Oliver and Kai's Oshawatt partner comes over with a sneaky smile. "I think someone is trying to show off for Chief Frost~"

Everyone looks at Sukia wide-eyed and she bristles while blushing. "Argh! Be quiet! Mikah, let's move." She sasses then leads the way out of the guild.

Kai looked truly rattled while Shelly just giggled at her own joke. Oliver calls out to them one last time. "Stay safe!"

The Eevee and Vulpix leave the guild's headquarters and walk through Vibrant City to head for the dungeon that'll lead them to Zekrom. During the walk, Mikah looks away from Sukia bashfully while speaking. "Sooo... is what Shelly said true?"

"What's true?" Sukia asks without looking at her partner as she glances at the stands of berries they passed.

"About..." Mikah mumbles his next words.

"Eh? Speak up! I can't hear you if you whisper." Sukia sasses.

"About you liking Frost..." Mikah's mumble is only a little bit louder but it was still loud enough for Team Pursuit to overhear. Team Fate didn't notice the other team browsing berries until now.

"You LIKE Chief FROST?!" Maxi shouted from behind them, the Rockruff making both Sukia and Mikah jump with surprise. Maxi's fluffy tail then droops. "But... what...? Since when??"

"Shelly said Sukia likes to show off for him. And now that I think about it..." Mikah mumbles again while staring down at the ground with a blush.

Maxi's jaw drops and he looks disheartened despite the blush that was also on his cheeks as well. "The Chief?? What do you even see in him anyways?! I mean, he's really strong and pretty cool but... but still!"

Sukia looks completely confused as she looks back and forth between the Eevee and Rockruff. "What? What are you two fools talking about?"

"I sense great emotional discomfort here..." Riley mumbles too with his hands behind his back. For some reason, he was blushing too but it was probably just because the Ralts was being overwhelmed by the feelings coming from Mikah and Maxi.

Bandit scoffs. "You lot are pathetic! For crying out loud, we've got a Zekrom to beat! We gotta outmatch Team Blitz!"

"Not if we get there first," Sukia growls at the Zorua who had the same thought as her.

No surprise, Bandit gets in her face and growls back at her. It almost looked as if there was a bolt of lightning shooting between their heads as the rivals faced each other. "In your dreams!"

Maxi gives a dramatic gasp. "Does she favor Pokemon like Bandit?!"

Bandit's face turned redder than anybody else's but he still shouted angrily. "Wh- what are you on about?! It isn't like that!"
