After evacuating the Pokémon out of Leaffall Village to safety, the village leader, Rillaboom, gifted their heroes with an old flute that has been passed down in their village for generations. Rillaboom told Mikah and Sukia that it's an ancient flute that holds mystical power but most of the villagers say that it's just an eroding instrument. Both Team Fate and Team Sunrise returned to the Ultimate Exploration Guild headquarters to report what had happened.

As Mikah was telling Frost about how Leaffall forest caught fire because the volcano became active, Sukia was inspecting the pale grey flute made out of brittle wood. This thing really does look like it's about to fall apart.. does it even still work? Sukia was about to blow into the old instrument but Mikah interrupted her when he hurried over to her.

"Suki! We just got a newspaper from the Pelipper mail. Apparently the volcano became active because a legendary Pokémon has awakened in the base of it!" Mikah exclaimed, taking Sukia by surprise and she forgot all about the flute. Before Sukia could say anything, Mikah babbled some more. "Chief Frost's partner has some information on the Pokémon and he's coming to headquarters to tell us in person."

Sukia gave a tilt of her head. "Frost's partner? I didn't know he's in a team. He's so powerful I thought he worked alone." Sukia says while peeking over to the shiny Greninja that was talking to Team Blitz and Team Scholar. "His partner must be equally as impressive as he is.." Sukia mostly whispered to herself, trying to hide her embarrassment over even thinking that way about the guild's chief.

Mikah gave a few nods of his head before answering. "Mhm! Frost's partner is the cartographer for the guild. That's why we've never seen him around before because he's usually out discovering unmapped lands. It's a pretty dangerous job. Once he finds new lands, he sees how dangerous it is, and if it's inhabitable then Chief Frost sends out other teams to chart all of the dungeons on the new land." Mikah explains to Sukia and she gives a nod in understanding. Both the Pokémon lift their heads when they hear Maxi shout "He's here!"

Chief Frost turned around to face the doorway and he smiled when he saw a familiar silhouette in the doorway until a yellow cat-like Pokémon walked into the room. "Zera. It's been a while." The shiny Greninja reached his hand out to his partner but the electric-type Pokémon only pulled him into a long earned hug. Sukia pulled out the PokéNav to see the Pokémon she's never seen before stats.

"No way.." Mikah whispers to Sukia. "That's a Zeraora! A mythical Pokémon!"

Sukia looks from her PokéNav to Zeraora. "Mythical.. the Thunder Clap Pokémon. Of course the Pokémon is mythical. Who else would be Frost's partner?"

Three Pokémon walked over to Zera and Frost. A Golisopod gives a pat to the Zeraora's back. "Long time no see, Zera. It's good to see you again." Sukia looked at her PokéNav again to examine the team she hasn't met before.
