"Hermione! "

Both Harry and Draco looked on as the petite brunette witch fell unconscious.

Draco carried her to the couch and tried shaking her awake. Harry came hurrying towards them and pulled out his wand.

" Ennervate"

He tried the general spell and she sure opened her eyes.

"Hermione! "

"Huh... Harry... Potion. "

Before they could understand what she was trying to say she fainted again.

" Let's take her to hospital wing. "

Harry nodded and picked up his best friend. The boys hurried to the hospital wing, whose doors were thankfully open. They called for madam pomfrey frantically and the old matron rushed over. She saw the panic and quickly hushed the boys away from the bed. After casting a few diagnostic spells on the unconscious witch, she sighed.
Summoning a couple of potions' vials, she cast an ennervate and fed them to Hermione, who fell back asleep, this time a lot calmly.

"Madame, what happened to Hermione? "

"Mr. Potter, I think you know her. She didn't eat or sleep for a couple of days again if I may remind you. That is the consequence. She's burned out."

" Again? "

" Later Malfoy, when will she be up this time? "

" By mid-day tomorrow at the latest. So, please leave my patient to rest for the night. "

" But-"

" No buts Mr. Potter. You can go. "

With a last glance back, Harry left much to Draco's surprise.
The boys walked to their new dorms in silence wherein Draco couldn't help looking suspiciously at his new dorm mate.

" Stop staring Malfoy. I'm not running. "

"... "

"... "

"... Is that a common occurrence? "

"What? "

"The Granger fainting thing. "

" Oh that well, it was. I think you should know since we're possibly stuck together... Uhh... That started in third year. She does that sometimes. Focuses on something too much, works at it without breaks, yeah. But we've all been keeping an eye for that kind of thing. So, it hasn't recently happened... I don't know how I didn't see it this time around... Aghh... "

" Oh. "

" She'll be fine. I'll take care of her. You don't have to worry or even care. "

"... "

" ... "

" I care about my family Potter. "

"Sorry? "

" I have to care about the witch who is going to be my wife. It's my responsibility. "

"... Oh. "

" So let's call a truce. "

" What? "

The boys entered the dorm and inevitably moved towards the living room lookalike, settling in opposite armchairs.

" Truce? "

" Yes Potter. Or is the word not present in your little dictionary? "

" Don't be a prat Malfoy. I know what it means. "

" So, if we don't have any choice but to live with the pairs we've been assigned to, I'm not going to spend my whole life as a workaholic monk. "

" Oh? "

Harry raised his eyebrows at the offer.

" Yes. You might not know but I'm to be wed by the family ritual as is traditional and it negates the possibility of extramarital opportunities. You can guess? "

The boy wonder almost chocked on air on understanding the implications of the remark.

" Yes Potter. You got it and you'd be in the same ceremony so we both have only one woman to care for. We need rules to make this work. As you know, I do enjoy sex and at some point I will have to sire an heir, so do you I think? "

As Harry nodded, Draco summoned a piece of parchment and his quill set from his trunk.

" Shouldn't we make this contract thing when Hermione's present? "

" That's different. This is the truce between us."

Harry nodded a bit unsure of himself.

" I, Draco Malfoy, agree to form a truce with one Harry Potter if the marriage law prevails wherein, I will not start unnecessary fights, show a joined front when in public and will solve all conflicts by communication when it comes to one Hermione Granger."

After Harry repeated the words and the two boys signed the parchment, it vanished with a golden glow.
