The screen opens to reveal the unconscious Calum awakening his eyes. He realises what's been going on, that he was asleep and is now tied against a pillar to the edge of the room on the ground. A man dressed all in sinister black has his back turned against him, standing at the CACT control console.

Captain Black:

Welcome back, Lieutenant. Pleasant dreams?

Lieutenant Navy:

Not when I wake up when I see the face of you, Captain Black.

Captain Black gives a cold sneer.

Captain Black:

That's what they all say after waking up. Been admiring the controls I take it? So your Spectrum friends can hunt down the Prion Mutelox and destroy it.

Lieutenant Navy:

Well, it's just a habit of mine to fiddle around with these things. You either got the skills to hack it or you haven't.

Captain Black:

The original Prion Mutelox, as Spectrum now calls it, is dead.

Lieutenant Navy:

Yes. Pity, isn't it? Now we've set you back a bit. By thinking that our forces would be diverted to finding the Mutelox, you could come in here and take over. Interesting concept the Mutelox I must say.

We cut to Captain Scarlet outside with his radio mic down. This alternates from him to the recruits and Captain Blue walking back through the woods to return to their crafts.

Captain Scarlet:

And there's been no sign of him since. That might mean something has happened in there that isn't altogether good.

Lieutenant Aqua:

The Mysterons have definitely gotten to him. That means we need to mobilise our forces together ASAP. We need to get in there and shut down that thing once and for all.

Captain Blue:

Ever heard the phrase more haste, less speed?

Captain Scarlet:

Exactly. We don't know what we may find when we go in there. But if anything was to happen, we're gonna be ready for it. The rest of you get back here. I have an idea.

This cuts back to the CACT control room with Calum and Captain Black. Black approaches Calum and kneels down to him.

Captain Black:

As a matter of fact, Calum, this is only the next stage of our plan. Now that your friends are all some miles away, it means that you and I can just be left to ourselves. As a young recruit to Spectrum, this is the part where I tell you our evil plans to destroy your planet.

Lieutenant Navy:

Well, what had you in mind?

Captain Black:

For a start, the Prion Mutelox experiment was a complete success. Bar the fact that the symbiotic nuclei became a little unstable. For the next Mutelox, we intend to improve upon the mistakes of the last one. He will have full molecular control of his properties.

Lieutenant Navy:

Somehow I don't think Prion Mutelox the second sounds as good. Maybe try another alternative.

Captain Black:

I think you would make an excellent Prion Mutelox the second, Calum. Just in time for fuelling up.

Captain Black heads over to the monitor and presents the image of one of the Druzyniks driving its way forward towards the base.

With your Mysteron counterpart able to control the Druzyniks through telepathic communication, we will be able to take the Druzyniks to any part of the world. And cause as much destruction as we choose before the Earth surrenders to our demands. That first Druzynik will be the first your counterpart will control.

Lieutenant Navy:

Then whilst I'm still alive, I might say it has been a great pleasure in meeting you at last. I've heard so much about you. Trouble is with this ploy about the Druzyniks, it does sound a little familiar with your first plot after the Martian disaster. I thought this was supposed to be a war of nerves where you don't repeat the same plan.

Captain Black wasn't listening to Calum. He sees on the monitor unauthorised movement in the complex. Aside from the Druzynik on its way to the control room, a Unitron was racing along the track at a faster speed than the Unitron.

Captain Black:

So. That is Scarlet's plan...
