We get a shot of Skybase's exterior. The mighty aircraft carrier hovers in the clouds before we cut inside to the command deck where Colonel White briefs his agents who stand before him. Lieutenant Green operates her console behind the agents in front of the Colonel. Standing in front of him, we have Captain Scarlet, Captain Blue, and new recruits Lieutenant Navy, Lieutenant Aqua, Lieutenant Violet, and Lieutenant Crimson. They are being briefed by the Colonel on the latest assignment.

Colonel White:

It was fortunate that two cleaners left the microphone on to security so we could hear every word of what they said. That was recorded an hour ago during the night. Now, it's early morning over there.

Captain Scarlet:

What's the position of the base now?

Colonel White:

It is difficult to tell. We have heard nothing from them since. And orbiting satellites and Geiger counter readings detect no movement inside. All bar one movement.

Lieutenant Violet:

A Mysteron agent, Colonel?

Colonel White:

Could well be. Or this Prion Mutelox or whatever he calls himself. Residual traces of background radiation have been detected in and around the same area, making him easy to track down. But he is not the sole concern for this assignment. What is our sole concern is that the Fulmer Testing base is under Mysteron control. A fleet of tanks and super weapons are in their hands, and they must be stopped.

Captain Blue:

Is this radiation deadly to us?

Colonel White:

Not that we can gather at the moment. It is merely a background trace of this Mysteron agent. However the powers be of them, I have no idea what monstrosity they have created

Lieutenant Crimson:

May I ask, what is this Fulmer testing centre, and what's so special about it?

Captain Blue, Lieutenant Aqua and Violet sigh.

Lieutenant Aqua:

You mean you're telling us you really don't know what's there?

Captain Blue:

You see Colonel? They're just a bunch of kids who don't know anything. You can't send them out on an assignment like this.

Lieutenant Violet:

Who are you calling a bunch of kids?

Colonel White:

That will do now. All of you. For those who don't know, the Fulmer Testing base is a PTB Research Centre that contains storage for various tanks and vehicles, including Druyznik and Unitron crafts.

Lieutenant Green turns about and explains.

Lieutenant Green:

The Prion Testing Base is a research centre is one of many stations where the solution of fuel to power the machines are created. It is a huge centre with storage holders underground that hide the vehicles and of many target equipment and runways to carry them out on. The Unitrons were disregarded, but fully effective, prototypes to the Druzynik models.

Captain Scarlet:

The Unitron tanks were pretty ruthless machines. They could be operated either by remote controlled or by a driver inside. They're like high-speed armoured fighting vehicles that were developed to operate in potential conflict zones in areas around the world.

Colonel White:

And those models were adapted by the Russians to create the Druzynik. A weapon that's been on the side of Spectrum since the war of nerves broke out.

We see a model of it on Lieutenant Green's computer.

Lieutenant Green:

The Druzynik might be large and extremely slow, but its firepower has devastating power. The tank features six decoy flare launchers, four rocket launchers, and the gun on the turret is powerful enough to raze a small town. The crew manning the Druzynik access the inside of the tank through a set of stairs and a hatch in the front. Although the tank can be operated by a single person, it usually has a crew of at least one driver and one gunner. The only thing that can take down a Druzynik is another Druzynik, or a Unitron.

Lieutenant Navy:

Well, you can imagine the fuel they cook up in these research bases for these monster machines can have some pretty horrific consequences if anyone was to fall into them. Not to mention what happens when the Mysterons add a dash of retro metabolism in it.

Colonel White:

What powers the tanks, Lieutenant Navy, is a specially engineered, chemically created symbiotic liquid made from the basis of standard crude oil. Once filled with the correct symbiotic nuclei into their engines, the Druzyniks and Unitrons are unstoppable.

Captain Blue:

Putting the incorrect symbiotic fluid into a Druyznik would be like putting diesel into a petrol engine.

Lieutenant Crimson:

And so this Prion Mutelox can, what, control the activity of it now he's part of it?

Colonel White:

That is the position we are now faced with, Lieutenant Crimson. That is why we must investigate into what we can assume is now a fully Mysteronised complex and shut down their operation.

Lieutenant Violet:

Couldn't we not just blow it up and call it a day? It would stop whatever the Mysterons are cooking up as Calum said.

Lieutenant Aqua laughs.

Captain Scarlet:

Too easy. If the whole Fulmer forest wouldn't have been contaminated with radiation, the Mysterons would probably rebuild it again. And we would still not know what they're doing there.

Colonel White:

Therefore, it gives Spectrum the opportunity to test your knowledge and abilities you have so tirelessly worked for. And I feel confident that all of you are ready to undertake this assignment. Captain Scarlet will lead the assignment but will act merely as a supervisor to the mission. He will receive instructions and orders from the teamwork and decision making of the four of you combined.

Lieutenant Navy:

Thank you, Colonel. What are our orders?

Colonel White:

The six of you will fly to Fulmer Woods where you will enter the premises and expect the unexpected. Captains Scarlet and Blue will remain as supervisors and in constant radio contact with you. The Angels will be flying overhead and they will help to track the radiation source so we can locate the Prion Mutelox...
