We see the Angels flying in the sky over Fulmer woods. The Angels have scattered across the area to begin tracking a trace of background radiation. Through this, they'd be able to locate the Prion Mutelox. We hear Destiny's voice and then cut inside to her cockpit.
Destiny:
This is Angel Leader, we are now running a scan for residual background radiation. Repeat, we are now running a scan for residual background radiation.
The Angels keep flying over the vast area of woods. Captain Scarlet's voice is heard on his radio, communicating to Destiny.
Captain Scarlet:
Happy hunting, Destiny.
We cut down from the Angels overflying the area to seeing the top of the trees and lowering down into the jungle forestry. After lowering down to look at an elderly oak tree, we see the Prion Mutelox himself wandering through the woods nervously. His eyes widened, and his skin was still blotchy and covered with spikes. The Prion Mutelox looks around his surroundings before he staggers over to the tree as if he were fighting with himself. The Mysteron agent wheezes and breathes heavily as he makes it there. Once arrived, he slumps onto the tree. His blotchy spots pulsate grotesquely as the electronic music plays and the modulated voice of the Prion Mutelox begins to speak.
Prion Mutelox:
There is no escape for you, Maddox. You are my plaything. My puppet.
His arms reach out as the original soul of Maddox tries to break through.
No! You can't! You won't win! I won't let you win!
The modulated voice returns.
But you are already a dead man, Maddox. The last remnant of your usefulness is your body. Which I command. We, the Mysterons, shall be victorious. We shall triumph.
Maddox returns.
I will fight you! Whatever you are! Whatever you've done to me. You... you alien. You don't have... full... control of me just yet... I am... Ma-
The modulated voice returns.
MUTELOX! The Prion Mutelox. We, have your soul. Your mind we shall deposit and swallow dry.
The Prion Mutelox rises and continues forward. He becomes even more agitated and nervous, knowing he cannot suppress himself properly. We then cut into the CACT control room once again. The unharmed Blade and Crest explain the principles of the complex to the recruits. Eliza and Daniel are more intrigued by looking at the pool of sludgy water, whereas Calum and Zara question the cleaners by the control panel.
Lieutenant Crimson:
So how do you account for what was recorded from this very room?
Blade:
We don't know. But whatever these weird green hazes are, they replicated not only the bridge where Maddox fell, they transformed him into a monster.
Lieutenant Crimson:
And where did he go after?
Crest:
No idea. He ran for it after.
Blade:
Since the emergency arose, we've just been locked in here with the rest of the guys for your Spectrum folks to come in.
Lieutenant Violet:
Eeesh. Care for a swim Daniel?
