(Opening titles)

"EARTH IS AT WAR WITH AN ALIEN CIVILISATION. THE MYSTERONS CAN KILL ANYONE AND REBUILD THEM AS INSTRUMENTS IN THEIR WAR AGAINST US".

"CAPTAIN SCARLET, YOU ARE VIRTUALLY INDESTRUCTIBLE"

We open from the blackness to reveal a research base located deep, deep within a rural forest. The scientific headquarters holds the setting for one of many testing centres for the Russian Druzynik tanks. It contains storage for various tanks and vehicles, including Unitron crafts. This is one of the centres where the solution of fuel is created. It is a huge centre with storage holders underground that hide the vehicles and many target equipment and runways to carry them out on. We see a sealed-off entrance with a bulky grey door protecting the entrance, and high walls with barbed wire blocking off any attacks from the ground. Security cameras watch like eagles across the complex for intruders. Automatic machine guns and canons stand ready to annihilate unauthorised vehicles in case they approach with hostile intent. We see the sign for the road leading to the blocked-off entrance with the sign "Fulmer Testing Base. PTB Research Centre. (Prion Testing Base). Each sentence fills a line of the run-down board. The view for the establishment housing the control department situates close to the entrance. The camera rises up to see the road, the sign, and the wall, and then reveals up to the government building. Presumably, this is a Russian setting but is not made clear.

We then cut inside to the CACT (Command Activation Central Tower). The camera shoots across a sterilised area with reflective flooring. To the left of the room, we see a control panel with a gigantic monitor and instrument panels below it to operate the entire centre's management, as well as the controlled activity of the symbiotic substances of the fluids for the tanks. The CACT logo situates above the monitor, as well as what it stands for; Command Activation Central Tower. We see pools of bubbling green liquids inside various pools across the room. They run gently with the substance, keeping it under control, bubbling and being stored at a correct rate. Instrument gauges situate on the outside, as well as the pumps leading down into the ground and into the bottom of the pools. The camera shoots high, overlooking the impressive control room with pillars holding up the walls of the control room. Various walkways stretch high above the roof, overlooking the area from a great view. One path leads along the wall, almost directly above one of the pools, and is protected with a grey bannister. The thick legs leading into the wall support the bridge.

We see cleaners in white uniforms, helping to keep the area clean by washing up the floors. Their blue buckets are placed away from them, busily washing the floors with mops. One man, Blade, an elderly with a white tosh, leads the cleaner's conversation about living for a living. Small and shrinking from his age and aches, he is beginning to form a hunchback from his bad back from cleaning and speaks with an American accent. Crest is Another cleaner, but a younger and shyer man. Both these men clean the floor on the ground, whereas the other man cleans the walkway that leads over one of the pools. This man is Maddox, an unfortunate skinny cleaner working a dead-end job with no hope or care for his future. The three men begin in idle gossip.

Crest:

Just think of it. We guys get to run this outfit for the night shift whilst all the sci-fi boys get to play around with the mean machines in robot wars. Whilst we are left to clean their god damn floor as the whole thing runs on automatic.

Blade:

You youths just don't get it, do you? I've learnt over many years to keep your feelings to yourself and to not get involved in this military stuff. If they found if we leaked some of this information out, we would be court martialled I expect.

Crest:

If we're lucky.

Blade:

That's enough from you, kid.
